Bistro 48 — Restaurant in Schweich an der Römischen Weinstraße

Wow! We discovered this small restaurant while searching around highway what to eat. The staff is very friendly and helpful (I cannot have lactose - it was taken into consideration easily, and I even got suggestions of what I can or cannot have). Also, speaking in english (or even french) is not a problem :) But onto the most important element - the food. OOOOH the food :) perfect homestyle meals, from schnitzels and frikandellen to burgers and pizzas. Not a huge menu but everything tastes incredible. My boyfriend had schnitzel with zigeuner sauce and fries, I had frikandel with mushroom sauce and bratkartofel. We took mixed salad. The portions are large, the food so fresh, seasoning just perfect. It was my very first time trying German schnitzel, and I instantly fell in love with it. I tried the fried egg + onion topping while my husband tried the one with mushroom toppings. Both were equally good, and there was salad and potato fries as a bonus, which gave us a sumptuous meal experience. Also, you can choose your own drinks! A very friendly vibe and decent prices too!...

Dem Kunden zu sagen er soll doch "Die Fresse halten!", wenn er hier eine aus seiner Sicht gerechtfertigte Kritik anbringt, zeigt ja deutlich das Niveau, auf denen Sie sich bewegen. Dazu noch den Gast als mehrfachen Lügner zu bezeichnen und sämtliche haptischen und sensorischen Fähigkeiten abzusprechen tut sein Übriges. Das sagt eigentlich alles über die Führung Ihrer Lokalität.

Also die guten Rezensionen kann ich leider nicht nachvollziehen. Heute gab es zum Mittagstisch "türkische Pizza mit Hähnchen". Das "Hähnchen" war wohl kleingeschnittenes Schweineschnitzel (mit Panade) aus dem Froster. Der Rest eine ungenießbare Matsche. Da ich abgeholt hatte, konnte ich leider nicht reklamieren.
