Ozean Grill — Restaurant in Schweinfurt

This is where one would go for splendid grilled seafood, fish plus the hospitality and warm service of the couple who took care of us are second to none. Dining here is like having a warm meal in someone's cosy home. We joyfully dug into a platter for two, 3 choices of fish, a plethora of grilled vegetables and I love that the crispy calamari are fresh, we added on some grilled prawns to the platter because we were very hungry and probably greedy😂. The fish are cooked over a BBQ, as the charcoal smoke enhances the taste and flavour. Its tender, flaky with brilliantly crispy skin and served to your table with head and tail intact. I do not mind it as I am used to it, most of the Asian fish dishes are served that way. Usually when we have Turkish, we had never tried fish. While its stereotyped international reputation revolves around the humble kebab, fish plays a very important role in Turkish cuisine, going back deep into history. If trout and seabass are one of your favourites, it is a sure bet that you will have a delicious, satisfying meal. After that, enjoy warm beverages like Turkish coffee and home brewed...

Great ambience and service.

I love charcoal grilled food so I was excited to visit Ozean grill.

I had the Sea Bass.

It was well cooked but rather bland.

It would have been nice for the griller to slice the fish and add some seasoning to the body.

But he just applied some olive oil to the body and a small spring of something (rosemary maybe) inside.

I feel they are missing an opportunity to make their food more flavourful.

They should consider a Nando's style of options.

Grill the fish plainly but give customers the opportunity to have some spice added.

A simple marinade of olive oil, black pepper, paprika, rosemary and hot chilli to taste would enhance the food greatly in my opinion.

Der erste eindruck war eher merkwürdig. Ich war mit meiner Familie dort. Wir dachten erst wir wären falsch und wollten wieder gehen. Aber die Besitzerin fragte uns ob wir einen Tisch für 9 Pers. reserviert hätten(was wir hatten) und sagte uns wir sollten erst einmal rein gehen und uns ein Bild machen. Nach dem betreten des Zeltes änderte sich der eindruck schnell. Das Zelt war mit Holz vertäfelt und die Decke mit Samt überzogen. Wir haben uns gesetzt und auf die anderen gewartet. Als diese da waren haben wir essen bestellt. Es war leider schon viel nicht mehr da (Pommes, Cola, Mezzo-Mix. mehrere Fische). Dies war ein kleiner Makel. Wir bestellten was da war und bekamen unser essen sehr nah beieinander. Das Essen war sehr gut. (Für manche könnte der Fisch ein bisschen zu stark gegrillt sein, aber bei Fisch lieber zu viel als zu wenig). Nach dem Essen bekamen wir noch Nachtisch welcher auch sehr gut war.

Fazit: Äuserlich macht es zumindest nachts nicht viel her, aber der Schein trügt. Das Zelt ist schön eingerichtet und bequem. Der Service ist gut und sehr nett. Das essen ist sehr lecker. Die Preise sind angemessen.
