McDonald's — Restaurant in Schwerte

The good ol' Mickey D's... though I have to admit the quality sure did go downhill since last decade, let it be anywhere. I tried the German McDonalds for the first time in this particular outlet, and the good thing was here (I mean Germany), there are sufficient vegetarian options so its still doable for those who have dietary restrictions such as Halal or Kashrut. I tried their McPlant burger, which was to say, didn't feel that much different than what I could've had back home, with the exception of a vegan patty for the beef. So as for food, I'd say not the best, but certainly not the worst (though, the prices may be a bit unjustified, typical from McDonalds...) Service was nothing too out of the ordinary, because frankly, its just a fast food place. You place an order via the machine, pay at the counter or at the machine directly, and wait for your number before you take home to eat or at the place. The atmosphere was something better off the bunch, with the modern aesthetic still in place that feels somehow pleasing to the eyes otherwise nothing much is to discuss for here. Though, the towering golden arches with the older-style logos are becoming rarer with time, and currently, this place still has them, which is a sight for sore eyes with the nostalgia I get each...

Katastrophe.

Leider muss ich die Bewertung so beginnen, da dieses Wort treffend beschreibt was ich dort ertragen musste.

Sonntag, 12.11.2023 um 15:16 Uhr habe ich an einem der Terminals die Bestellung aufgeben und via Karte direkt bezahlt.

Nach rund 30 Minuten habe ich die Bestellung dann in den Händen gehalten. Ja es war zu tun und voll, aber die Wahrheit ist auch es wurde immer voller.

Ich könnte in der Zeit beobachten, dass drei Bestellungen aufgerufen wurden, aber nicht abgeholt wurden. Ja richtig die Bestellungen wurden aufgerufen, da die Monitore nicht gingen.

Die Abläufe wirkten nicht organisiert oder eingespielt. So wurde eine Bestellung begonnen zusammen zu packen. Kurz drauf verließ man die Bestellung und ging zur Kasse und kassierte. Statt dann an der Bestellung weiterzuarbeiten, ging man nach hinten. Dann wieder zu Bestellung und dann brachte man erst ne Bestellung weg. Insgesamt würde die Zusammenstellung der Bestellung neun mal unterbrochen und so zog sich die Fertigstellung fast 15 Minuten hin.

Personal lief einiges in der Filiale rum. Allerdings war es augenscheinlich nicht eingeteilt. Keine klare Aufgabenzuordnung. Jeder machte alles und am besten gleichzeitig und nichts richtig zu Ende.

Als final meine Bestellung gepackt war wurde die 138 aufgerufen, niemand reagierte und ich erklärte der Dame, daß es augenscheinlich meine Bestellung mit der 238 wäre. Sichtlich verwirrt stimmte sie zu.

Immerhin war die Bestellung vollständig, nicht jeder, der vor mir seine Bestellung erhielt kann das behaupten.

Leider nicht zu empfehlen, auch wenn es gut erreichbar ist und wir nicht zu weit fahren müssen, wir werden uns wenn eine andere Filiale suchen.

Ich denke es liegt nicht an den einzelnen Mitarbeitern, vielmehr an der mangelnden bzw. nicht vorhandenen Struktur...

The worst McDonald's in all of Europe. there is no cola, no mayonnaise, homeless people sleep at tables and occupy tables, there are only two women's toilets, and one of them does not work!!! but when it’s 30 degrees in the city, how can you work without cola at all!!!
