For a weekend of hiking I had to book an overnight stay somewhere in the Sächsische Schweiz. Since the affordable options close to the weekend were fully booked I decided to stay at this place which turned out to be a nice a cozy place with really kind and friendly owners. Due to the fact I had to do some German to English translations I got a beer from the house which is a very kind gesture from the beginning! The dormitory is quite narrow and they have very limited power sockets to charge your phone. This could be improved but not the worst thing. The toilets, showers and other shared rooms are all very clean and tidy and for the shower you have to pay €0,50 for 5 minutes of warm water. First of all the workers were nice. They made a very yummy vegan dinner especially for us! We were in the big shared room. I don't know if private rooms are cleaned but our room wasn't cleaned. There were dried eye contacts and bottle caps from former guests. For a roof and 4 walls in a hostel with NOTHING included, no fridge, no microwave, just a mattress and a shelf, to pay more than 65€ for a couple in a shared room and then MORE money for anything you think comes normally with it..... Hot water, in a shared bathroom..... mattress cover, pillows, blankets... Even to pack a sandwich from the breakfast buffet....!! It doesn't feel nice. Everything costs money! A beautiful place to stay over. Very kind staff and the owner. Luckily there was no one in my shared room so It was just me... Because the mattresses are one next to each other (no separation between them). That's the backside.. Toilets are very clean, you put a coin and have hot water..
