This is a seriously efficient and capable operation. Family of Quentin, 27 years a resident of Hamburg and 23 of Cornwall, celebrated his 50th with family (English) and friends (German).||||Firstly, car parking: generous in terms of the operation. Wilkommen und Dienst were just brilliant. There is no reception. There are no receptionists. There is no bar-person. There is a cook!||||Hoisdorf people just recognise a need to look after their guests. Having spent a lifetime inhospitality, I'd love to take selected private hotel-owners from UK to see just how to provide great service with few staff.||||Fruhstuck (sorry about the lack of umlauts) and Abendessen were brilliant, as was the function for 80 on Saturday evening for the Versammlung.||||Vielen Dank,...

Ein Auf und Ab!

Wir wurden schon einige Male enttäuscht, da es aber um die Ecke ist, haben wir nach vielen Monaten immer wieder neue Versuche gestartet. Im Frühjahr war es dort überraschend gut so das wir dieses Wochenende wieder einen Abstecher dorthin gemacht haben. Leider haben wir uns wohl das falsche Wochenende ausgesucht. :-( Ich habe Nudeln mit Pilzen auf Sahnesoße bestellt. Das Gericht hat nach nichts geschmeckt, wirklich nach nichts, nicht mal Parmesan konnte das Essen auffrischen. Die Vorspeise, eine Kürbissuppe, war schon ein Desaster. Mein Partner hatte Bratkartoffeln mit Fleischsülze. Leider war das Fleisch noch komplett gefroren und die Menge war eher eine Kinderportion. Natürlich haben wir unseren Unmut dort kundgetan und es wurde auch gut darauf reagiert, aber wenn es immer wieder Probleme in der Küche gibt sollte man richtig handeln.... Die beiden Mädels versuchen immer Ihr Bestes, aber vielleicht wäre auch mal eine zusätzliche Hilfskraft eine Möglichkeit den Service etwas zu verbessern. Freundlichkeit ist nicht das A und O, es muss auch schmecken und Kleinigkeiten machen es dann im Service aus. Ich habe jetzt endgültig das Hoffen aufgegeben und nach 5 Jahren...
