Cafe Bakery Bauer — Restaurant in Stephanskirchen

This was supposed to be one of these glowing 5 Star reviews. Now it is not. The last visit just soured it. We spent a month in the Rosenheim area and this café was just a skip and a hop around the corner from our accommodations. Because this was a business trip I have all the receipts. We went there 7 times in this month of June 2023, spent 242.90 Euros (US$ 267.19) plus assorted trips to buy bread, rolls and pastries. We generally had a lovely time there, the food was good, the waiters and waitresses lovely and quick. Until the last time. We spent a good 20 minutes sitting already waiting for a menu. You know the feeling when you think you should just leave? But we ordered. We got the coffee. A basket with Pretzels. This was supposed to be accompanied by cold cuts, cheese etc. Nothing shows up. Another waitress brings out my dried up and by now cold scrambled eggs and a wrong sandwich. By now everyone around us who came later ordered, ate and left. I ask for my sandwich to be fixed. It is a sliced Kaiser roll with cold cuts and some garnish. I am not exaggerating with saying that it takes about 30 seconds to make. Another 20 minutes later I ask the waitress for my sandwich. "I can only bring what the kitchen gives me". Eventually my wife's cold cuts and cheese show up. She just all packs it up because we sat there for an hour now, being held hostage by not getting what we ordered and not wanting to pay without getting what we ordered. I finally get my sandwich with a "I HAD to do it myself because the kitchen is to busy". Please refer back to the 30 second estimate. I asked for the manager, to which the lady replied that she would be the actual manager. That somewhat surprised me. Assuming this is true, she would have had it then within her powers to get the kitchen to get her what she needs. She also should be the best of the bunch at her job to set an example. She was not. I folded up my sandwich to eat on the go because our 30 minute breakfast has now stretched to 1 hour and 15 minutes. The lady attempted to "fix" things by offering "one free pastry" from the bakery. I respectfully declined, because A) I was not looking for a freebie and B) the tone in which it was offered was somewhat insulting.

I speak German, even the local Bavarian dialect, so there was no miscommunication. None whatsoever. I only subtract one star because the rest of the staff is lovely and nice and well trained. I hope someone from management will eventually see this and get some more training done. I am keeping the receipts so if someone wants to see them, let me know. It is possible the lady just had a really bad morning, but take it out on who soured you milk, not on us. We...

Super Service, lecker Essen und Frühstück, tolle Kuchen. Sind 1-2 mal im Monat dort.

Waren erneut dort, super umgebaut, gefällt mir sehr gut. Hat aber einen Nachteil es ist sehr laut, fast wie in einer Bahnhofshalle wenn viele Gäste da sind. Wir haben immer das Gefühl dass gleich eine Durchsage kommt : Bitte treten Sie von der Bahnsteigkante zurück ein Zug fährt ein. Die Bedienungen sind sehr fix, wissen auch mittlerweile kleine Extrawünsche ( wie kein Wasser zum Kaffee, Croissant, Semmeln oder Brezen aufgeschnitten, 2te Marmelade oder auch zusätzlich Butter). Was in meinen Augen auch Schade ist, ist das die Bedienungen zu wenig geworden sind und zuviel mit in der Küche mit herrichten müssen und sich dadurch alles verzögert. Vor dem Umbau waren ab ca 9 Uhr morgens 3 Bedienungen und ab ca 11 Uhr meistens 4 Bedienungen da und nun müssen 2 durchhalten bis ca halb 12. Dadurch wirken die Bedingungen gestresst und man traut sich kaum etwas zu bestellen, weil man Angst hat sie in ihrer Geschwindigkeit einzubremsen, da sie alles geben damit kein Gast das Gefühl bekommt nicht beachtet zu werden. Wir gehen trotzdem immer wieder dort hin, nicht nur wegen dem Essen, (immer sehr ansprechend serviert) sondern auch wegen den Bedienungen die " immer" gut drauf sind und auch im größten Stress die...
