Gasthaus Forelle — Restaurant in Thale

Well to begin with I thought it isn't that bad - location right next to the entry road, looks like a clean motel, rooms are sort of clean. Even the fact that the toilets and shower are used didn't bother me. ||||It was snowing outside. Minus 2 degrees in late october 2012. Radiators in the hall were warm, the shower radiator was warm. So I decided to stay - have a warm night sleep and fresh in the moring directly on my way.||||Enetring the (basic) room - setting up the radiator in the room. It works, great. Going to sleep in a warm room (set the radiaor at 70%). Sleep time.||||And then at 01:00 AM waking up beacause of... shivvering. Yes I was freezing almost to death as the room heating was CLOSED. And you could defenitely feel the -2 degrees outside. Snowing, wind blowing, and I am shivering in my bed. There's no phone in the room so no one to call. The restaurant downstairs is closed. No note or instructions who do you contact at night with a problem. What should I do? Start to shout - wake up everybody until the house owner somehwere shows up? Wake up the other guests? The radiators in the hallway were working - so defenitely someone closed MY room heating - there isn't any problem with the whole building heating.||||Covered myself with extra clothings, jeans, all towels and extra blanket on. And still shivering all night long. In the morning after hardly sleeping I run (still shivering from cold) to the warm bathroom. Oh, at least the radiator in the bathroom is on (pity I didn't sleep there on the floor if I only had a mattress). Going naked to the shower and...||||Guess what? The hot water in the shower were closed too! A cold watr shower in a snowing day! How...

It’s difficult to leave review for both restaurant experience and staying overnight in the guesthouse at the same time. The food is excellent! Chef is true expert. I had deer and my husband schnitzel. My meat was tender and juicy, my husband meal was good but not fantastic. Lovely deserts as well. Mind that this is very popular place, so you need to call and book the seats, especially if you want to sit outside in the beer garden. The room was clean, spacious, facing to the garden so less noisy , than the street facing rooms. Breakfast was excellent, and the lady was constantly checking whether everything is enough for the guests. My only problem, was the mattress, sooo soft, difficult not no sink in. The location is four stars because of the loud road and it’s a bit outside from the center. Service was hearty, but with a bit of toughness, and I did not feel as precious guest :) But overall it was very good experience and again, the food...

Ein Stern muss leider vergeben werden, aber der ist schon zu viel. Als ich die Tür zum Restaurant öffnete und noch auf der Straße stand, wurde ich mit folgenden Worten von einer kleinen dunkelhaarigen Frau, die offensichtlich an Adipositas leidet, regelrecht in unfreundlicher Manier hinausgeworfen, obwohl ich noch vor dem Gebäude stand: "Hier kommen Sie mit Hunden nicht herein!" Selbst mein Hinweis, dass in einer Rezension ein Gast geschrieben hatte, dass Hunde willkkommen wären, wurde von ihr sehr unfreundlich zurückgewiesen. "Das kann nicht sein!" Das Verhalten dieser Dame ist nicht nur unfreundlich und unprofessionell, sondern auch sehr dumm, weil in dem Urlaubsort Thale sowieso zu wenig Gastronomie vorhanden ist. Oder behandelt sie gerade deshalb Gäste mit Hunden so schlecht? Absolut nicht empfehlenswert ist dieses Gasthaus, in dem Gäste mit Tieren behandelt werden, als seien sie es nicht würdig, wie normale Menschen behandelt zu werden. Ich akzeptiere Restaurants, die keine Hunde dulden, wenn mir das auf freundliche Weise ehrlich mitgeteilt wird. Aber hier hat sich meine Erfahrung wieder einmal bestätigt: Tiere sind die besseren Menschen. Jedenfalls, wenn es sich bei den Menschen um solche handelt, die glauben, dass alle anderen nach ihrer Pfeife zu tanzen haben. Dieses Gasthaus, dass solche Mitarbeiter wie die von mir beschriebene Frau beschäftigt, oder diese vielleicht sogar seine Chefin ist, was ich nicht behaupte, weil ich es nicht wissen kann, kann ich niemanden empfehlen, der tierlieb ist oder sogar...
