First impression of this Indian restaurant is that it is simple but welcoming. Beautiful Indian textile prints umbrella, Indian favorite sports ´Cricket` players and kit hang on the wall and the staff is friendly and the hospitality is great. We shared starter of Panier & chicken pakoda, Samosa!!! And Papadam that came with three different sauces. For my main course I had a chicken & Vegetable salad. It was amazing! When you think of a chicken salad you think of some bland chicken on top of some lettuce, but this was tender chicken with Indian seasoning on it that tasted a bit like curry but more like barbeque sauce. The Garlic Naan was hot fresh right out of the oven and was very good. Overall everyone really enjoyed the meals and hospitality. I gave this restaurant 8 out of 10!!! Overall very efficient. Soooo, ich gehe jetzt schon seit über einem Jahr in dieses Restaurant. Fahre aus Schweinfurt dort hin, obwohl es bei uns auch indische Restaurants gibt. Und warum..... Weil es sich lohnt. Der Chef und die Bedienungen sind unglaublich freundlich. Der Biergarten ist bei schönen Tagen sehr gemütlich und wenn ich mich nicht entscheiden kann, kann man es dem Chef überlassen und wurde auch nie bei seiner Essensauswahl enttäuscht. Ich finde es auch bewundernswert, dass man ein indisches Lokal weg von jeder Stadt auf dem Land eröffnet. Die Einrichtung ist jetzt nicht gerade sehr indisch, aber das brauche ich auch nicht. Es ist halt vermutlich eine Dorfgaststätte gewesen und damit muss man sich arrangieren. Das Essen ist immer sehr lecker und toll finde ich, dass man den Grundgeschmack der Soße mal mit Ente, Lamm oder Fisch usw. essen kann. Die Karte ist nicht überladen und jeder wird fündig. Der gewünschte Schärfegrad wurde bisher immer sehr gut getroffen und von der Intensität der Gewürze war ich immer sehr zufrieden. Ich möchte auch etwas zu den Preisen sagen. In Schweinfurt haben die Gastronomen so unverschämt angezogen, dass ich hier auch nicht mehr essen gehe. Ob der Grieche jetzt denkt, er muss für seine Extraportion Zaziki 7.50 Euro verlangen oder die Spaghetti mit Muscheln beim Italiener 21,50 Euro kosten müssen, verstehe ich nicht. Da wirklich lieber nach Wonfurt zum Inder bei sehr fairen Preisen und tollem Essen sein Geld lassen. Der einzige negative Punkt ist, dass im Restaurant keine Hunde erlaubt sind (im Biergarten natürlich schon). Hier gab es anscheinend schon schlechte Erfahrungen und das akzeptiere ich dann natürlich auch. Ich hoffe auf noch viele leckere Jahre in Wohnfurt. Noch ein extra Danke an den Chef, der zwar immer die Hände über den Kopf schlägt, warum ich so wenig esse, aber mir immer gerne eine Verpackung zum...
