I looked at booking a hotel in Passau but so glad that we chose to stay in Kellberg. It is about a 15 min drive up a windy road to Kellberg which overlooks the city - just beautiful. We were welcomed and given 2 lovely warm and comfortable rooms. The rooms were clean, and the beds very comfortable. We chose to ate at the hotel and so glad we did. The restaurant was cosy and full of Bavarin ambiance with a lovely selection of Alpine dishes. We had of course the Wiener Schnitzel which as tradition has it was larger than the plate! The whole bill was one of the best and cheapest we had eaten in Europe. Breakfast was included with the package we booked and was a lovely continental breakfast. Parking was free and across from the hotel. We loved staying here and although only stayed a night, felt like we experienced a little place in the Bavarian hinterland. |The only concern I would have had would be if it had snowed before we got there as the road leading to the hotel is super steep, but...
