Schepper's Das Restaurant — Restaurant in Trier

Folks, you would not believe what we happened upon on our way to Trier, Germany. I took a chance making a reservation over the Internet simply because their web page said it was in the heart of the Ruwer wine county. (One of my favorite wine areas in Germany.) It has a very quaint and homey restaurant and absolutely excellent cuisine, far too much for normal people to eat. Done perfectly and very tasty. They have their own brands of wine. We took their 25th Anniversary Wine over to our room, which was actually a suite. Sat out on the patio enjoying finishing the whole bottle in one sitting too! (-:|We had a warm summer evening to wine and dine. The typicaly German hearty breakfast welcomed us too. After buying some of their wine, (they don't sell or ship to the USA.) we promised ourselves if we visit Trier or the area again this is a must...

Rooms within a vacation house at the back of a restaurant (weingut).||If you visit Trier, but prefer to stay at the countryside this is a recommended stay. It's located in a tiny village in the middle of wine fields, very nice. Public transport to the city in the village.||Our room was not very pretty, but of good size. It was very hot though, not only due to the warmth outside, but there was a heathing problem as well. Very queit at...
