Ristorante Petrocelli — Restaurant in Vallendar

I rarely write reviews. And I never try to give bad reviews. Those are mostly peanuts written by very sensitive folks. But my experience at this location is beyond anything that ever happened to me. We ( party of 5) had a table collar to a larger group at one table. Since they were quite loud I asked if they would have a different table. Immediately the waiter/owner (?) barked at me that I should that table or a much smaller one that would not suite a party of 5. As we were looking at the table he immediately told us that we shouldn't date to move a tiny suffer table there. After I told him that we do not need to dinner here, he lost it and started screaming at me and my 88 year old mother. And so on and on. Long story short. In almost 60 years on this planet, I never experienced such a rude aggressive behavior. Good luck in running your business!

Edit/ response: Vielen Dank für ihre Antwort. Leider bestätigt ihre Reaktion meine Erfahrung von besagtem Abend. Mein Kritikpunkt war nicht die Akustik oder die Lautstärke anderer Gäste. Bedauerlicher Weise scheint der Begriff “Customer Service” auch in Zukunft kein Zuhause in diesem Etablissement zu finden. Mögen sich potenzielle zukünftige Gäste selber ein Bild...

Food is ok.....but only when you eat in. Unfortunately when you order out....customers needs are not met. We ordered two orders of pasta and two salads. We requested dressing on the side. Got a lame excuse that they do not have the necessary containers for putting the dressing separate. Customer service is not one of their strengths. Btw.....the spaghetti bolognese tasted like nothing and the salads were drenched in dressing and we were not able to finish them, let alone enjoy them. As an excuse the staff let us know....they do enough, but can't do everything. Well....luckily Vallendar has more Italian restaurants and I will be going there from now on.... Petrocelli is not worth the money I spent on...

Ich bin in meinem ganzen Leben noch nie so unfreundlich abgekanzelt worden. Als wir um 13:40 Uhr Platz nahmen, kam der Mitarbeiter und herrschte uns an, dass um 14 Uhr Mittagspause sei und es nichts mehr zu essen gäbe. (Meine Begleitung ist dort Stammgast). Auf meine Frage "Gibt es denn etwas zum mitnehmen?" Wurde mir ein "Ja, können sie haben." entgegen geknurrt. Er steht am Tisch mit gezücktem Block..."Könnte ich vielleicht eine Speisenkarte bekommen?" "Ja." Pizza und ein Bier bestellt. Als die Bestellung kam, habe ich sehr höflich und freundich bemerkt, dass ich nicht wusste das dieses Lokal eine Mittagspause hat und das ich wenigstens ein freundliches "Guten Tag, leider schließen wir in Kürze...aber sie können gerne etwas zum mitnehmen bestellen." erwarten würde. (Ich bin selbst altgediente Gastronomin). Die Antwort die ich bekam war.... "Wir haben um 14 Pause und ich diskutiere nicht mit ihnen!" Ich "Wie bitte? Ich will nicht mit ihnen diskutieren, ich wünsche mir nur einen freundlicheren Ton." "Ich diskutiere nicht mit Ihnen." Wir wurden zu keiner Zeit angeschaut. Vor der Haustür trafen wir 2 Damen, die dort gegessen hatten. "Na, auch beim Petrocelli gewesen?" fragte die Eine. "Ja, zum ersten und zum letzten mal" sagte ich. Sagt die Frau "Mich hat der auch zum letzten mal gesehen, so unhöflich und frech...geht gar nicht." Sie erzählte mir, dass sie schon häufiger dort war und die Freundlichkeit sehr oft zu wünschen übrig lässt. Pizza war durchschnittlich. Never ever...vorher...
