Bäckerei & Konditorei Raisch - Calmbach — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Bad Wildbad

We come to this town twice a year to practice harp with our teacher starting in 2022. At first this bakery is my daughter and my "go to" hang out place because it is the only place decent within walking distance from our teacher's apartment. One day at my visit at the bakery, a staff suddenly requested me to clean up next time after my visit. I was honestly shocked because I have always been putting away all dishes deligently and clean up our own table each time of our visit! I found the accusation awkward and offensive as their regular customer. I tried to clarify with the staff explaining to her how we actually cleaned up our dishes each visit but still the staff said she was merely passing the message of her co-worker since she was not there to know the truth. My 10 years old daughter felt truly upset and asked "mommy are German racist?" Normally I do not like to interpretate incidents through the lens of the identity politic, but I must say this accusation made both my daughter and I felt awfully unwelcome like the Cafe was trying to make up stories to accuse us for absolutely no reason. Now we still go to the Cafe but we decide to take a Before and After pictures of our table just in case, and, this, should not be the experience ANY customer goes through.

I am delighted to write my second review! Guess what? I was at the Cafe again this morning and the same staff who told me we didn't clean up our table came up to me and told me how sorry she is because she got us confused with another customer! Her apology was heartfelted and sincere. I am exceedingly thankful for her to have the courage to come clean with me. This truly helps my daughter's experience in Germany much more pleasant! Melanie ( the barista at the Cafe) and I even decided to exchange teaching each other some German and English vocabularies! The radiant smile is once again found on my little 10 years old's countenance! It was utterly like a heavy cloud being lifted away from her little head instantly when I announced her the news! This experience has taught me so much of never feel ashamed of yourself when you know you are doing the right things and try your best not to jump into conclusion because we never know the full story. My decision to keep visiting this bakery even AFTER the accusation was correct! Had I stop coming back, the bakery's staffs would have never had their chance to clarify the misunderstanding! Oh and make sure you write honest reviews because businesses actually read them! God bless Germany. God bless our world.

Even though the products are very tasty (but very expensive) If there's more than one person waiting in this backery it means pure caos. Especially at the weekends there's endless and meaningless ques because of the incompetence of the workers. I'm very sorry but professionalism comes first by training your workers properly in customer service. Wir waren am 12.12.2021 gegen 16 :20 Uhr im Laden. Es war fürchterlich. Die Verkäuferin schie gerade einen Gast an, der wohl seinen Teller falsch abgestellt hatte. Danach waren wir an der Reihe. Wir hatten einen 59 Jahre alten schwerstbehinderten Mann dabei. Die Dame schie ihn an Impfausweis und Personalausweis. Der Mann ist linksseitig gelähmt und und konnte dieser Aufforderung im Schweinsgalopp nicht Folge leisten. Ich wollte ihm helfen und wurde auch gleich in einer fürchterlichen Lautstärke angeschrien. Kaffe trinken war uns vergangen. Wir verließen den Laden ohne Kaffee. Ich finde es unmöglich so mit schwerbehinderten Menschen umzugehen und gehe davon aus, dass behinderte Menschen in dieser Lokalität unerwünscht sind. Von der Leitung dieser Bäckerei erwarte ich eine Entschuldigung. Es ist ein nicht akzeptables Verhalten gegenüber schwerbehinderten Menschen und ich kann hier versichern, dass ich mir das so nicht bieten lasse. Also kurz zusammengefasst ein fürchterliche Laden, den man besser nicht betreten sollte. Übrigens unseren Kaffee haben wir in einer anderen Lokalität mit sehr zuvorkommender Bedienung...
