Hotel Goldenes Lamm — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Ellwangen (Jagst)

My review is about the restaurant, NOT the hotel.

We went there at Easter Sunday. The positiv was the taste of the menu. The dishes tasted amazing. Compliments to the cook(s). I liked a lot that you could order more noodles or sauce or other stuff from each dish. The quantity was also good.

But my review is "only" 2 stars why.......

Well, we waited for ordering 20 minutes to another 30 minutes to get our drinks. They forgot one soup and another waiting time of 45 minutes for the dessert.

They had a salad buffet. One of our family members is a vegetarian and she ordered a salad but for that she got a plate and could take what she wanted from the salad buffet. What are the others doing that had a big garden salad with beef or chicken.......!?!?

The staff looked kinda all over the place. While the women tried everything to do as good and as fast as they can the men, well... what I saw was talking to others and serving only one dish at a time.

For me, the organization was bad. It's really bad. We were there roundabout 3 hours and sorry, that...

I cannot recommand this small hotel and Restaurant. Do not ask for something like a cappuccio there for your breakfast!

I get/had better Käsespätzle in the Restaurant of the company where I work, than the one I had there... tasted like Spätzle with Kaffeesahne, little bit of cheese. Very little bit of onions on the Spätzle, surely not as it should be.

No chance to use a garage for our bikes, bad :-/

Not so expensive, but not good.

Even kind of unfriedly... Not easy to understand.

Wir haben 2022 unsere Hochzeit dort gefeiert und sowohl bei den Vorbereitungen, als auch bei der Feier stand das Team immer professionell zur Verfügung.

Vorbereitungen HZ: Bei Vorbesprechung und Ablauf, stand die Wirtin stets mit Rat und Erfahrung vor Ort und telefonisch zur Verfügung. Wir konnten die Räumlichkeiten mehrmals besichtigen und so verschiedene Bestuhlungen anderer Feiern ansehen. Die Wirtin hat angeboten, dass Gäste mit teils komplizierteren Unverträglichkeiten gerne einzeln direkt mit ihr das Essen besprechen.

HZ Feier: Das Essen war sehr lecker und alles was wir bestellten wurde lecker und frisch zubereitet serviert. Auch als die Feier länger ging, als ursprünglich besprochen, waren Angestellte und Wirtin bis zum Schluss freundlich und vor Ort (obwohl es für die Wirtin am nächsten Morgen mit Frühstück und ganzen Tagesessen... gleich weiter ging).

Zimmer: Übernachtung in einem für einen klassischen Landgasthof passendem Zimmer, mit welchem wir sehr zufrieden waren. Dass auf einer Hausseite die Straße oder die läutende Kirche ist, kann das Hotel nichts. Dafür ist es daher sehr gut zu erreichen und auf der anderen Hausseite ist es ruhiger und fußläufig ist es Richtung Friedhof/Jagsttal sehr schön mit nahem Spielplatz.

Großen Dank an das ganze Team! Gerne sollten wir solche Gaststätten, die mit akutem Personalmangel und Preissteigerungen zu kämpfen haben, weiter bei Mittagstischen o.ä. bereitwillig...
