Gasthof Krone Hotel & Restauran — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Friedrichshafen

On one of the hottest July days we showed up shortly after 5 p.m. and were rewarded with an empty parking lot and cool biergarten shaded by six old chestnut trees. We orderd quickly, and the food and drink came promptly, accompanied by friendly attentive staff. An hour and a half later, the place was full (we counted at least 48 guests), and more were coming. Families with busy small children, or couples with well-behaved dogs are also welcome. There were many vegetarian options on the daily menu, with homemade "Spätzle" noodles. There was some chopped "Eisbergsalat" (head lettuce) in the side salad - I prefer a deep green colourful mix of different leaf lettuce, and it was a bit too vinegary for my taste. The medium steak was done medium (lightly bloody) as ordered, and the other guests smiling and friendly. Take note of the times the kitchen is open. Otherwise, there are cold meals and drinks available, with the breath-taking view. Parking is tight, and right inside the door is a sign addressing the problem, helpfully offering suggestions. Come with your bike and tip a Radler for your effort! This place seems to be one of those local secrets. We'd suggest coming early, or reserving ahead of time, especially if your group is larger than...

I come here with my parents for years already. The first years we only came for dinner on Thursday and Saturday. Last year was the first time I stayed here as well.||This place is absolutely perfect, they don't have that many rooms but they are always clean and tidy. ||||The food here is just amazing!!! They have the best cheese Spätzle I have ever eaten! The rest of the dishes on the menu are great as well. The portions of the food are a great size.||||The owners and their staff are the best I have experienced.||Nothing is to much of a hassle. Even when it's busy (which is most of the days) they are always smiling and friendly. ||||It is true that there isn't a lot of parking in front of the house but if you drive down the road there is opposite the kindergarten a parking lot.||||I only can recommend this place...
