This is the third time we have stayed here as it is on our route home. We stay in the annexe as the rooms are quiet, comfortable and have a balcony overlooking the woods. There are 11 steps up to the annexe and some rooms are up more stairs on the first floor, there is no lift. I noticed that the carpet on some of the stairs is beginning to fray. The ensuites in these rooms have a shower cubicle, some toiletries and are on the small side but adequate. The rooms are carpetted but there are not enough sockets nor was there a USB socket. Our twin room contained a wardrobe and two chairs, and each bed had two huge pillows which needed to be folded over, but the beds were comfortable. ||Breakfast is in the restaurant and fish, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries and cake were available along with two fruit juices and one kind of milk. Neither the milk nor the yoghurts were labelled. There is nothing wrong here but I always find myself thinking 'Good but ....'; himself likes it though.||This time while we were here we paid E4 each to enter the castle and E3 for a guide which is in German but you can have an English translation for a small fee. Bezüglich dem Notausgang kontaktierte mich heute der Inhaber Marcus von Gemmingen.
Wir hatten ein angenehmes und freundliches Gespräch und in Bezug auf seine email im Anschluss, sollte dieses Problem behoben sein.

Sehr schönes Burghotel im Neckartal. Die Burg des Götz von Berlichingen ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise und auch eine Übernachtung wert.
Das Personal ist super nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einige zur Geisterstunde aber sehr schreckhaft. 🤣 Nochmals Entschuldigung an den jungen Mann, den wir so sehr erschreckt haben.
Die Speisen sind durchweg qualitativ hochwertig und sehr schmackhaft.Die Nachtischteller ein Träumchen!!!
Wir hatten unseren Aufenthalt in einem Burgzimmer gebucht (2 Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern). Unsere große (8) nächtigte in einem Hochbett, in einem abgetrennten Bereich, die kleine (1) in unserem Bett. Die Größe war ausreichend und das Zimmer an sich war sehr ansprechend gestaltet; wir fühlten uns dort diese 2 Tage alle sehr wohl.
Als Begrüßung stand eine große Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer. Bei der Hitze am Tag der Anreise eine super Sache.
Leider war es dann aber mit der Reinlichkeit in unserem Bereich nicht ganz so, wie ich es von einem 4 Sterne Hotel erwartet hätte.
Zwischen den Schränken war noch Staub, im Nachttisch noch Müll vom Vorgänger und die Toilettenbürste hatte keinen Griff mehr.
Der Eingangsbereich zu unserem Zimmer war auch nicht sauber gehalten, auch hier lagen dann noch Schnipsel und Müll von der letzten Veranstaltung und auch dem Teppich, hätte eine kurze Runde mit dem Staubsauger gut getan.
Das ganze mag daran liegen, das die Hauptzimmer vielleicht im Hauptgebäude lagen, wir mit der Anforderung an ein 3 Bett-Zimmer im Nebentrackt, aber trotzdem. Das weiss ich ja vorher, das Gäste kommen.
Auch ein Spielzimmer für Kinder war vorhanden, wird aber laut Aussage der Servicekräfte nur bei Veranstaltungen geöffnet und war bei unserem Aufenthalt leider verschlossen.
Das sollte man noch ändern, wenn man so eine tolle Sache schon hat. Gerade mit mehreren Personen im Zimmer, ist man froh, wenn man morgens mit dem Kleinkind ein paar Minuten im Spielzimmer verbringen kann.
Bei uns war zum Glück super Wetter, so das wir mit der Kleinen unsere Runde draussen drehen konnten. Daher also, alles verkraftbar...
Der mit angesiedelte Weinverkauf beinhaltet noch ein kleines Museum, welches unter anderem die Rüstung des Götz von Berlichingen enthält. Sollte man auf jeden Fall gesehen haben!
Die Burgruine kann man gegen ein Eintrittsgeld von 5 Euro Erwachsene und 3,50 Euro Kinder besichtigen und ist einen Besuch wert.

Abends ab 23.00 Uhr, werden die Türen, zwei an der Zahl abgeschlossen.
Im Fall eines Brandes, entällt also diese Fluchtmöglichkeit.
Der offizielle Fluchtweg, führt durch ein Dachfenster in der Besenkammer auf eine Feuerleiter, diese in einen Hinterhof.
Leider ist die Besenkammer klein, eng und mit Putzwagen und anderen Utensilien verstellt. Meiner Ansicht nach im Brandfall, in Eile und eventuell ohne Licht (Stromausfall) ein Desaster.
Nun, aber im Zweifel auch das noch machbar.
Feuerleiter runter und man landet in einem Hinterhof. Links, Sackgasse. Rechts wieder Arbeitsgeräte im Fluchtweg und dann ein Holztor. Abgeschlossen von aussen.
Von Aussen, ein Vorhängeschloss und ab und an, hat sogar ein Auto vor diesem Tor geparkt.
Zudem vor diesem Tor, Kein "Parken Verboten" oder "Rettungsweg freihalten" Schild angebracht.
Das hat mich dann doch gegruselt....
Ist aber von meiner Seite aus der einzige wirklich negative Punkt, den man denke ich zeitnah beheben kann.
Diese Information habe ich natürlich, wie auch alle anderen hier aufgeführten Punkte persönlich und schriftlich an der Rezeption vorgebracht.
