McDonald's — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Sulz am Neckar

I have just been at the Vehringen MacDonald's and I am thoroughly unimpressed. For an international fast food chain to not accept payment from cards other than German or French bank cards is unacceptable unless your business strategy is to not make as much money as possible. It is unlikely that tourists from countries other than the EU will have a bank card from the EU and as such will be unable to eat at your restaurant unless they have cash! My bank card allows me to pay in Euros but the customer service agent would not permit me to try the card as it was not German or Swiss.

Not only that but the big tasty bacon burger did not have any bacon taste whatsoever as it was smothered in too much mayonnaise so the meal was also a let down.

Die herrische Gouvernante, die mich hier am 1.8.23 ca. 19:00 bediente, etwa 50 Jahre alt, ca. 1,80 gross, drahtig, Brille und militärischer Kurzhaarschnitt, ist offenbar neu. Da die Displays alle besetzt, die Schalter aber frei waren, bestellte ich am Schalter. Ich zahlte, bekam das Schild mit der Nummer, dankte und begab mich in den Wartebereich. Bereits am Schalter forderte die Dame mich streng auf: "Sie dürfen Platz nehmen.". Ich ignorierte das und begab mich wie sonst bei Automatenbestellungen in den Wartebereich. Auf dem Weg dorthin rief sie mir das nochmal in den Rücken zu und ein weiteres Mal als ich dort stand. Ich hatte nun ihre volle Aufmerksamkeit :-(

Da ich mich nicht bewegte, brannte bei ihr wohl eine Sicherung durch, denn sie fauchte zornig: "Dann brauchen sie auch keine Nummer!". Wie bitte? Die Dame kennt die Abläufe im eigenen Laden wohl nicht...? Da leider keine anderen Kunden am Schalter waren und sie wohl zu viel Zeit hatte, stürmte sie auf mich zu - offenbar, um mir das Schild mit der Nummer abzunehmen.

Wie borniert kann man eigentlich sein? Ich war müde, die Dame war mir in körperlicher Nähe so unangenehm wie die Situation, also begab ich mich praktisch genötigt zum nächstbesten Tisch, wo sie mich endlich in Ruhe liess.

Lieber McDonalds: Das ist ein Autohof. Ich sass gerade 5h im Auto und wollte mich NICHT unverzüglich und auf Befehl setzen, sondern hätte gern im Wartebereich die maximal ja 2 min auf die Bestellung gewartet. Wie sonst auch, wenn ich etwas bestelle. Ausserdem denke ich, dass es einfacher ist für das Personal, da es nicht lange suchen und nicht weit laufen muss. Offenbar Fehlanzeige. Ist es also richtig, dass wenn ich am Schalter bestelle, mich nicht im Wartebereich für die Bestellungen aufhalten darf, sondern an einem Tisch "Platz nehmen" MUSS? Faszinierend angesichts dessen, was sonst dort so abgeht, wenn der Laden voll ist.

Fazit: Das war mal ein unkomplizierter Platz um etwas zu essen. Nächstes Mal bestelle ich wieder am Automaten und ob dort, ist fraglich. Warum solche Personen im Kundenservice arbeiten ist mir rätselhaft. Verzichte ich...

Absolutely the worst McDonald's experience ever. Waited in line for 20 min to just give an order and then told the machines that accept cards ONLY accept debit GERMAN cards and no visa, MasterCard, or anything that isn't German. This place is on a major highway with a petrol station right next to it with ATM and they accepted our credit card/debit card. Staff were friendly at least but still ranked the worst ever McDonald's. Congested, dirty, don't accept credit cards with no WIFI or ATM solution within walking distance. I will never go to McDonald's again in Germany if this...
