wonderful old fashioned restaurant which belongs to the museum. simple menu, nothing fancy, but very friendly service! just worth going for the old time atmosphere, very cozy! 👍 just remember, the opening hours correspond to those of the adjacent museum, so check the Freilichtmuseum Neuhausen website for opening hours before planning a visit! but there is NO ticket required to enter the restaurant 😉

Wir haben den Ochsen, nach der Neueröffnung, mal getestet. Hatten beide Linsen mit Spätzle und Saitenwürstchen. Privat koche ich Linsen (untypisch) ohne Essig. Hier gibt es die Linsen zwar mit Essig, aber mit Balsamico. Sind dadurch lang nicht so sauer, wie bei anderen Gastronomen. Mögen wir lieber. Mehr können wir noch nicht beurteilen. Mal sehen, wie es sich entwickelt, auch wenn das Museum offen ist und mehr Betrieb herrscht.

Wir waren rundum begeistert! Das Essen war hervorragend und die Bedienung ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier absolut. Die Gaststätte selbst ist urgemütlich und passt perfekt zum Ambiente eines Museums – man fühlt sich sofort wohl.
