This is a really nice typical German restaurant. With a very huge history of the house and how beautifully it is restored is exceptional. As a tourist and unable to read the German menu, we were given an English written menu and in few pages of the menu they had the background of the house.||As being a vegetarian ,I was happy to see vegetarian mains and also dinner salad. ||The portion size was massive as it was in very German restaurant. ||If you are around there.......... make sure you visit the place and enjoy the local dishes...

A real gem of a place in the Black Forest! Located in a gorgeous traditional building, the Gasthof is perfect both in terms of accommodation (room was spacious, warm and nicely decorated, good wifi too) and meals. Food is excellent (great Swabian specialties) and beers too. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff were incredibly nice and went out of their way to speak English to me as my German is non-existent. Wish I could stay longer. Highly recommended to anybody...

A real gem of a place in the Black Forest! Located in a gorgeous traditional building, the Gasthof is perfect both in terms of accommodation (room was spacious, warm and nicely decorated, good wifi too) and meals. Food is excellent (great Swabian specialties) and beers too. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The staff were incredibly nice and went out of their way to speak English to me as my German is non-existent. Wish I could stay longer. Highly recommended to anybody in the area!

Ich war schon öfters mal zum Essen im Waldgericht und habe mich heute das erste Mal entschieden hier auch zu übernachten. Der Service war spitzenmäßig und trotz meiner kurzfristigen Anfrage ob heute noch ein Zimmer frei sei (Übernachtung von Sonntag auf Montag) wurde mir bereits am Telefon ein freies Zimmer zugeteilt. Vor Ort dann erstmal das leckere Abendessen genossen, bevor es aufs Zimmer ging. Das Zimmer ist mit allen nötigen Sachen (Handtüchern, Fernseher, kleines Zimmertelefon usw.) ausgestattet und ich hatte sogar das Glück den nahegelegenen Bach aus dem Fenster sehen uns hören zu können. So kann doch ein Kurzurlaub beginnen :). Besonders gut hat mir, auf dem Zimmer als auch im Gastraum, der Stil des 500 Jahre alten Fachwerkhaus gefallen, der immer mal wieder zum Vorschein kommt. Ich bin bereits jetzt von meinem Aufenthalt so begeistert, dass ich euch gerne eine 5 Sterne Bewertung da lasse. Jeder der hier vorbei fährt oder einen Unterkunft im Urlaub sucht, ist hier im Gasthof bei Andrea und ihrem Team genau richtig!

Oh Dornstetten, im Tannenschlag, wo ich verweilte manchen Tag, da lud der Gasthof „Waldgericht“ zu Speis’ und Trank, zu Kerzenlicht. Die Forelle kam zuerst daher, so frisch, so zart, aus klarem Quell, gebraten gold, mit Butter klar, ein Mahl, wie es ein König war. Doch bald, oh Wunder, kam zur Stund’ ein zweites Werk – so reich, so rund: Die Scholle, braun gebraten, fein, ein Hochgenuss, fast himmelsrein. Ihr Fleisch so mild, ein sanfter Hauch, die Butter schmolz wie Tau im Bauch. Mit Kräutern zart und Zitrone frisch, war sie die Krönung auf dem Tisch. Oh „Waldgericht“, dein Herd voll Glanz, verführt die Sinne in den Tanz. Hier schenkt die Küche still und klar den Frieden, wie er selten war. So bleibst du, Dornstetten, mir im Sinn, wo Bach und Gasthof einsinnig sind, wo Scholle und Forelle rein den Weg ins Herz mir bahnten ein.
