Gasthaus Staude — Restaurant in Verwaltungsverband Raumschaft Triberg

We had an amazing stay at Gasthaus Staude! You can really feel that it's a family-run place, where the whole family and staff are passionnate about their work and really make you feel at home in their atmospheric old Inn. The surroundings are great as well as you're 'lost' in the middle of fields & forests, up in the hills. Nice walks start just in front of the Gasthaus, to Triberg or Hornberg for example. The restaurant is also worth the visit, as everything is typical Black Forest fare made with quality/local ingredients and very tasty (portions are very generous as well). If you're there on a weekend you must try the homemade Black Forest Cake! All drinks are also sourced locally - the wines, beers (4 different ones on tap, all from Fürstenberg) and spirits (from Wild). Ending the evening with "fire" quickly became a 'tradition' (Schwarzwald Teufel - a 50% herb liquor set on fire)! Will definitely...

Very welcoming and TOP NOTCH STAFF! Service was excellent. Extremely friendly & helpful staff. They are very attentive. The food (breakfast & dinner) was very good. We wish they had a bigger selection but it was delicious. The rooms i gave 4 stars for 2 reasons…the 1st is, hotel is not accessible for handicap and mobility issues. Noone in a wheelchair can stay. Restroom in the rooms are nice but toilets are extremely low and in a tight corner. The bed was mostly comfortable but high in the center and i felt like i was leaning all night. The room has a small refrigerator and closet and balcony which was awesome. Sitting room is not comfortable. The room is in the top floor so no head room. Everything else was great with the room. (It is up 3 flights of stairs and no elevator.) Adding a small elevator would put this Gasthaus over the top for sure! The restaurant was great and staff...
