Gasthaus Schwanen Nehren — Restaurant in Verwaltungsverband Steinlach-Wiesaz

This Gasthaus is situated in the middle of the village of Nehren only a few miles from Tubingen and Hohenzollern.|I understand that it is run by the community and has been completely renovated from an old brewery a few years ago. Some of the building is new but the the old part has been sympathetically restored.|There is a car park and beer garden to the rear of the property.|It has some letting bedrooms and a restaurant. Our bedroom was spacious, modern and clean with a beautifully appointed bathroom.|We ate in the restaurant on two nights and the food was well prepared and reasonably priced.|Staff were courteous, helpful and friendly.|I cannot think of anything bad to say about this place..........it...

Grundsätzlich ein sehr interessantes, schön eingerichtetes Lokal mit ordentlicher Küche. Es gibt allerdings leichte Abzüge aufgrund einiger kleiner Ungereimtheiten: Der Service war freundlich aber nicht wirklich organisiert. Die Getränke haben teilweise sehr lange auf sich warten lassen oder wurden vergessen. Ebenfalls gab es Probleme bei der Essensbestellung. Die Dame hat versucht Bestellungen von über 10 Personen im Kopf aufzunehmen. Gut gemeint, nicht optimal ausgeführt. Es musste zweimal nachgefragt werden und teilweise kamen dann die falschen Beilagen. Ein Zettelchen wäre hier sicher hilfreich gewesen. Zum Essen an sich. Der Salat war frisch, allerdings war das Dressing für meinen Geschmack zu wenig. Daher nur Durchschnitt. Die Schweinemedaillons waren geschmacklich gut, die Soße sogar sehr gut. Allerdings musste ich meine Medaillons lauwarm essen, da ich aufgrund der falsch gebrachten Beilage auf die richtige Beilage warten musste. Der Nachtisch wurde dann von allem Seiten gelobt. Selbst probiert habe ich ihn allerdings nicht. Fazit: der Schwanen kann durchaus empfohlen werden. Das Essen ist gut, Preis in Ordnung - die bemängelten Punkte sind...
