Rosi's — Restaurant in VVG der Stadt Bad Krozingen

We ate here in 2018 and were glad of a hot meal after a long drive through the Alps. The food wasn’t fancy but it was good. We returned here in 2025 and looked forward to eating here again. However, quality of food at Rosi’s has taken a nosedive. The schnitzel was very thick and tough, the flavour bland. The bratkartoffeln are okay. We did enjoy the beilagen salat and the ‘eis und heiss’ dessert. Worst part was the coffee. Absolutely avoid the coffee. A lingering aftertaste of ashes makes me fear for the state of the machine...

This restaurant was a very nice experience. I rate it 5 stars in the category of “highway restaurants”. If it was placed in a city I would probably rate it 3.5, but being a restaurant on the wayside it’s definitely worth a 5. The food was really decent and got delivered to our tables in about 10 minutes ish. So it was “real” food (i.e. not fast food crap) delivered in a short time. Also the overall atmosphere was very calm and the air was cool even though it was very warm outside....

As long as you buy an overnight parking ticket for €10 cash, you can redeem the €10 in food vouchers in the restaurant for a proper sit down meal and as an added bonus there's also draft & bottled beer for consumption at the table available. And that's a fairly good setup in Covid Europe. Good selection of freshly made rolls etc.available at petrol station counter 24hrs.day. As well as half decent showers open 24hrs.for €3. All in all not a bad overnight under current...
