We stayed one night, breaking our journey back from Italy to UK. As a result of a major traffic problem in Switzerland, we arrived way later than expected. In fact, it was after 10pm when we arrived - four hours late - and to their credit, the hotel staff were still waiting for us, and although the restaurant was closed, they made us some Abendbrot (basically some cold meat and bread) for which we were very grateful after our nightmare journey.||||We had a large bright and clean room. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was good as well.||||Note, and this is not any criticism of the hotel, not much English is spoken; and whilst I can communicate in German with them, this may be a problem for non-German speakers.||||We would not hesitate to use the hotel again. We stayed here for one night. The hotel was a little difficult to find. There was parking conveniently situated in front of the hotel. The room was somewhat cramped and the bed was situated under the eaves at the head end. However, all was very clean and it was quiet. The bathroom was small and the shower doors did not close well, allowing water to spill on the floor. We had dinner in the restaurant. The food was good, German cuisine, and the menus were in German and French. All of the staff were friendly and efficient and special mention must be made of the waiter in the restaurant. He was extremely pleasant and helpful. A good assortment of breads, meats etc was on offer...
