This place is a local’s favorite. Little Sebastian’s cousin can make an appearance in the field next door. I started with the potato salad (Lauwarmer Kartoffelsalat) and got the pork skillet (Mühlenpfanne "Schweinekamm") for dinner. I enjoyed everything. I definitely will be back to try more! They had several dishes that looked great and a few vegetarian options as well! The waitress was great and very friendly. She made good recommendations on wine. We were with a large group. I would highly recommend calling for reservations.

We didn’t stay at the hotel and only ate at the restaurant. It was delicious and the staff are very friendly! The restaurant is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating. I did not take pictures of it, only of our food!

Bland German dishes. Their one and only “Japanese” “karaage” dish tasted nothing like karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and was over spiced. Simply Google pictures of karaage and you’ll immediately see the difference.

Firts and foremost I must state I am rating the restaurant. I did not stay there in the hotel. This review covers the experience we had having dinner.||||The restaurant is large and has seating indoors and outdoors. We sat outdoors. The areas I saw inside and around the outdoor seating area seemed clean and organized. There was plenty of space. The food they offered was typical German and they offered some local specialties as well (saumagen, flammenkuchen, etc.). The food we ate was delicious and was presented in a pleasing way. The cost was about average for this area.||||The issue I had was that the service was exceptionaly slow and that the waiter and waitress showed no sense of urgency or a sense of making money in that they missed many opportunities to fill empty glasses. When our meal was served the dishes came out in a span of 10 to 15 minutes until all of us (11 people) were served. Additionaly, the meals came out not aligned with how the ticket order were given.||||They have good food - if you have the time to...

My husband was here for business, and I traveled with him for leisure. We stayed for two weeks at this hotel. We loved staying here. The staff was very accommodating (e.g., provided great info and maps on the trails in the area and had a bike rental delivered directly to the hotel for me). Breakfast was great and our room was immaculate and fairly good sized - and filled with lots of light. The only downside to the room was the very hard bed, which seems typical throughout our many stays in Europe. The restaurant immediately adjacent to the hotel is also run by the same family. The food there was fantastic. I spent my days exploring the many miles of trails located right outside the hotel. The location was quiet but within close driving distance to Kaiserslautern for a night out or just a trip to another type...
