This restaurant is always fantastic. Very small and cozy , so make sure you reserve a table. Won’t find better meat anywhere else that easily. Often they have some exotic choices like ostrich , crocodile, kangaroo, etc. but the argentinian steak and even pork and others are just fantastic.

Specialty items like escargot (Weinbergschnecken) are just perfect for those who like it.

Paired with a really nice couple handling the restaurant I couldn’t ask for more.

Very unique and good food. About a 20 minute walk from Wertheim city center. I had the Christmas variety with reindeer, moose and deer and it was very good. We went with a group and service was good....

5 Sterne – Ein besonderes Erlebnis, das wir vermissen werden!

Wir waren im Restaurant Vogel Strauß in Eichel essen und sind wirklich begeistert gewesen. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich gut – vor allem das Fleisch auf dem heißen Stein, ein echtes Highlight! Mal etwas anderes und richtig lecker. Das Lokal selbst ist eher dunkel und rustikal eingerichtet, aber das macht das hervorragende Essen mehr als wett. Der Service war super freundlich, Reservierung hat problemlos geklappt – rundum gelungen. Umso trauriger, dass das Restaurant nun aus privaten Gründen schließt. Wirklich schade – so ein tolles Lokal...
