Wonderful fresh salads and hearty German food! The woman who runs it is friendly and so hardworking, even when she’s by herself she gets the food out quickly. There’s always 4 or 5 salad options and they’re so colorful and only fresh ingredients. You can also order burgers and fries and schnitzel. There’s usually two items on the menu that are weekly specials. The frikadelle with spaetzle is amazing and so filling for only 8€ and that includes a side salad! They’re also open for breakfast! Clean seating area with TV, clean bathrooms, and beautiful views of the trees.

Had the Monday special. Some roasted pork with cheesey potatoes and cauliflower with cream. The pork was mediocre, and the scalloped potatoes had cheese on it that had gone bad and was extremely sour. The cauliflower was excellent though. Service was amazing, and the place was clean, but very cafeteria-like.

My first meal while in Germany 🇩🇪 did not disappoint. I believe they're open for lunch 11:00-14:00. I paid 10 euros for my plate in the photo. I could have gotten the daily special which was listed for 7.50 euros.

Just picking up breakfast, I ordered the Omelet breakfast and had hashbrowns. The fry had just gotten cleaned and was heating back up. So it was taking a while to finish my order. The workers there were so nice and generous, offering me coffee, doughnuts, extra toast, and drinks, and ended up giving me extra bacon and hash browns. Die Kantine auf der US-Installation in Sembach ist ein echter Insider-Tipp – nicht nur für Angehörige der Base, sondern auch für deutsche Besucher. Das Essen ist eine gelungene Mischung aus amerikanischer und deutscher Küche, frisch zubereitet und richtig lecker. Von klassischen Burgern bis hin zu deftigen Hausmannskost-Gerichten – hier findet wirklich jeder etwas nach seinem Geschmack.

Die Qualität der Speisen ist für eine Kantine überdurchschnittlich gut. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit frischen Zutaten und Liebe zum Detail gekocht wird. Auch die Portionen sind großzügig und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut.

Das Ambiente ist zwar schlicht und funktional – wie man es von einer Kantine erwarten würde – aber freundlich und sauber. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und man fühlt sich willkommen, ganz gleich, ob man zum Team gehört oder einfach nur zum Mittagessen vorbeischaut.
