Positives. First impressions, imagine walking into KFC or any other popular fast food restaurant, but instead of fast food, you have your local dishes. That is exactly the aesthetic Asaase has going for them. As far as this goes, I found it pretty impressive. We had their banku and okro. The food was okay, there wasn't particularly anything of note. If I were given the chance to buy it again, I probably would. It is however worth noting there are better and cheaper options out there. The servers wear gloves and hair nets when attending to the food. Negatives. You are required to pay for the soup, which isn't something I'm familiar with. 1 ladle of okro was 10ghc. We ordered jollof for takeaway and again we were made to pay for the regular takeaway pack that every other food vendor gives to you complimentary. We ate upstairs, and there was a repetitive, deafening, loud bang that kept ruining the silence. We later figured out there was a staff room up there, and the door kept making a loud bang with each exit or entry. Impressive aesthetic, lovely staff, too many money grabbing points.

The environment was generally neat but not exceptional—I noticed a couple of flies in the serving area, so I’d rate it 6/10. Customer service was excellent, very attentive and professional. 8/10. The fufu with groundnut soup was decent for the price, but I think they could improve the taste to feel more like a home-cooked meal. 6/10. Overall, there’s room for improvement, especially in food quality and hygiene.

From the outside, the building looks very classy and modern, so I thought the food inside would be expensive. But I was wrong. The place is very clean and neat inside. It’s the kind of place you wouldn’t expect to get a cheap meal but the price was very affordable. I had a simple dish, rice with kontomire and egg which cost me less than 50 cedis.

I personally wasn't at the place, I ordered through bolt food. Jollof with Grilled Tilapia, kelewele and salad on the sides. The prices were very affordable, packaging was superb 👏🏽, but the food. Where do I even start from For starters, the food was stone cold. The Tilapia had a funny smell and taste even after microwaved it, I still couldn't eat it. You could actually taste sand when you taste the Shito. So I had to throw it away, and I had already mixed it with the Jollof.

I could only eat the Kelewele and the Salad out of my whole order.

The only good thing about this order was the bolt dispatch rider

Don't think I will buy...

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures 📸, but I must say the place is clean, neat, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly—Samira waited on us and was especially kind and attentive.

The food was both affordable and tasty, but what stood out most was how healthy it felt. We were a group of about 7, each ordering something different, and none of the meals were overly oily—a big plus for us!

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I’d definitely recommend it and look forward...
