Marwako Fast Food Spintex — Restaurant in Accra

Marwako is a fast food chain located on the spintex road. Parking spaces are made available for easy access to the restaurant. A cosy setting to eat for groups or family with kids. It is a Lebanese owned eatery with a vast menu that merges Lebanese style of cooking and dishes with some popular Ghanaian cuisine. Menu is fairly priced for the food. Well tended to space. One is likely to spend about 20 mins here when ordering food depending on the food choice. Some foods are made faster whereas others such as the half piece chicken take time due to it being grilled. You can also easily opt to eat there as it's a great setting to eat as well with different seating arrangements for small groups and large groups. Husband said wings were good, fried rice only so-so. He had some kind of mint lemonade, he ordered a small bit changed it to a liter. He received the small.

My son enjoyed the chicken swarma platter, but was disappointed that the sauce was so little he couldn't mix in all the meat.

I had a mixed swarma platter of beef and chicken. Beef was lacking spice, the chicken was so dry it was hard to swallow. I didn't realize that pita bread was not included so I ordered on the side. It was not warmed up and again so dry, it was hard to swallow.

I then went to the restroom and when I washed my hands, My feet were soaked because the drain was not working and my sandals and feet got saturated.

The juices were good, but won't be going back, portion was awesome if only it didn't get caught...

Finally went to Marwako, months after their ahem hiatus. Before the break, I was a fairly regular customer so I thought to give them another chance.

I ordered fries with chicken and my fiance ordered jollof with chicken. The fries were just okay and the chicken was crunchy and crisp on the outside but more soggy than I'd like on the inside.

The jollof was average. Not terrible but not memorable either.

Basically the food was very very ordinary. Prices are not bad; there's definitely something for every pocket, and that's the only upside really.
