A Flavor Explosion at Balo Restaurant: A Must-Try for Food Lovers in East Legon Dining at Balo Restaurant in East Legon is a truly unforgettable experience, especially if you love bold flavors and rich, authentic dishes. We kicked things off with the Banku and assorted meats, which was nothing short of spectacular. The Banku was perfectly smooth and fluffy, and paired beautifully with a variety of well-seasoned meats that were cooked to perfection. the meats being tender and bursting with smoky, spicy goodness. We couldn’t get enough! Next, we dug into the Jollof rice with seafood sauce, a dish that absolutely stole the show. The Jollof was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of heat, and the seafood sauce was heavenly. The shrimp and other seafood were fresh, succulent, and complemented the rice in a way that made every mouthful feel like a celebration. Another standout was the Banku and seafood soup, which was an absolute treat for seafood lovers. The soup had a deep, savory broth, brimming with the freshest seafood—shrimp, fish, and more. Finally, the assorted fried rice was a delightful surprise. It was packed with a variety of meats and vegetables, all stir-fried to perfection. It’s the kind of dish that makes you wish you had room for seconds. One thing to note—Balo’s dishes are hot and spicy, which is part of what makes them so flavorful. If you’re not a fan of heat, be sure to let the staff know, as they’re happy to adjust the spice levels to your preference. Overall, the food at Balo is nothing short of outstanding. Each dish was bursting with fresh ingredients, expertly prepared, and packed with flavor. If you find yourself in East Legon, make sure to stop by Balo—your taste buds will thank you!

Is a very nice joint for authentic Nigerian cuisine. The owner is a chef and has excellent customer service skills. Some of his servers need to be trained as don’t pay attention to details. That is why I’m giving them 4stars instead of 5 stars. Overall is all cool Resturant that I cannot stop going there. My favorite is their assorted okro with banku and also seafood noodles. They prepare all meal fresh from start so you might want to call to place order in advance before you go there. The place is very nice and right in the heart of East Legon.

This place is a bit hidden but it's definitely worth to go there when you're in the area. The service is very considerate and extremely friendly. The Efo Riro I had there was an amazing experience, an explosion of taste in my mouth. I am very glad I went there.
