If you're looking for a casual spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, MyWeku Gardens is worth a visit. Located along a now fully-tarred road, the restaurant has made accessibility easier for patrons, which is a major plus. Here's a detailed breakdown of my experience during a lunch work date that turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

Food I ordered the Mixed Meat Grilled Platter, which was both satisfying and impressively portioned. It's designed to cater to two people with hearty appetites but could easily feed three or four with smaller portions. The platter came with a delightful assortment of meats, including chicken, goat, and beef, accompanied by sides of Jollof rice, fried rice, or yam chips.

The presentation was neat, and the smoked baked beans added an exciting twist. The chicken was flavorful and tender, while the beef was cooked just right. Some parts of the goat meat were a bit chewy, which might not appeal to everyone. The hot sauce on the meat was an absolute winner—bold and spicy, perfect for fans of fiery flavors like me. The Jollof and fried rice were decent, though I personally would have preferred a spicier kick.

Service The service was the highlight of my experience. Nana Yaw, our host, went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. His attention to detail and genuine effort to make our experience memorable is something rare these days. From engaging us in conversation to asking for feedback, he set a high bar for customer service. Even the owner made it a point to check in, which added a personal touch.

The food was served promptly, and the complimentary mocktail offered by our host was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel valued as customers.

Ambiance The ambiance of MyWeku is relaxed and welcoming. The space is clean, the decor is inviting, and the vibe is perfect for a casual outing. However, I noticed the men's washroom could use some improvement. Another minor detail is the wall signage, which is partially hidden by plants. First-time visitors could miss it, so better visibility would help.

Pricing The pricing at MyWeku is excellent for the portion sizes and quality. I was genuinely surprised at the value offered, especially for the Mixed Meat Platter. It’s a place where you leave feeling like you got more than your money's worth.

Overall Experience MyWeku is a gem for anyone seeking hearty meals, great service, and a laid-back atmosphere. While the goat meat and spice levels of the rice could be fine-tuned, these are small details in an otherwise delightful experience. The exceptional service from Nana Yaw and the owner’s personal involvement truly set this restaurant apart.

Recommendations Improve the signage visibility to help new customers locate the restaurant easily. Upgrade the men’s washroom for a better overall experience. Consider offering a spicier version of the Jollof and fried rice for those who enjoy a...

Went there on a Saturday 11th Nov. at 11:45am with 3 other guests. I asked for the plantain chips starter whilst we waited for the other guests. The first waitress told me I couldn't order the starter from the main local menu without ordering the entire local menu.

I told them I was willing to pay for it separately, but she said it wasn't done that way. I asked for another waitress, and she also told me the same. I asked for the Manager and at 12:30pm, I was told the manager was not in so I asked for the Supervisor and the Supervisor went to check for a long while, came back to inform me it could be done but they'd give me kelewele instead of plantain chips because all the plantain was too ripe. I told them that wasn't my preference.

My 3 guests finally arrived and were ready to order. We were informed at 1:00pm that food was not ready and that it was going to be a buffet. How can you not have lunch ready at 1:00pm on a Saturday afternoon?

The entire experience was truly disappointing especially when it was a recommendation from a friend.

Do better so the...

It wasn't hard to find. Seth was our waiter for the evening, and he was really patient and kind with us, ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. The food was tasty as well but I didn't get shrimps in my noodles as is on the menu until I asked about it, and I was told they'd ran out so they gave me more chicken instead. I wished they'd informed me before I placed the order. The chicken we ordered was delicious and plenty, we even had to take the rest home. The food was really delicious filling, and the drinks were spot on. Again, Seth brought us coils to keep the mosquitoes away😂👏. I also think if they have some games, it'll be cool too. Overall, I had a...

I had the pleasure of eating here yesterday. First off, the ambiance is very lovely. I felt like I was sitting in a nice garden enjoying the afternoon. I love a good steak and cheese sandwich so I decided to try the one on the menu. It was really good! I loved the spicy sauce which gave it a different taste from what I am used to but in a great way! The tropical smoothie was also a hit! I would definitely be coming back again to try other items on the menu.

Do yourself a great favor and visit My Weku Gardens. I liked the fact that the waitress paid much attention to details. I had some spring rolls and pineapple juice which I did enjoy. I later on had my jollof rice and charcoal grilled chicken which tasted great too. My friend had just tilapia of which I tried..lol😅and it was juicy. All in all, the service was unmatched. Environment was super relaxing and welcoming. The meal was yummy. Highly recommendable.
