Lovely place, with a number of tables under a fat shade, right on a pebbly little beach on the Nies coastline. The place qualifies as a "tsipouradiko", which by the locals means a taverna that also offers small dishes ("meze") together with "tsipouro" (heavy liquor from distilled grapes). This is a family run business. Mrs Athana, queen of her kitchen, offers a selection of main courses and "meze" which are above local quality standard, all from local produce. Read moreToday we had the incredible opportunity to visit a magical place. This restaurant captures the magic of Greece with its atmosphere, owners, and exquisite cuisine. We've visited many countries, but it's hard to find such a cheerful, open-minded person as Vaggelis, who served us. The chef (Mama) imbues the dishes with a truly royal touch. It's wonderful to find a place where people who would win Hell's Kitchen, Master Chef, etc. cook. What arrived at our tables was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Simple dishes, yet exquisite! And the view! The tables overlook the sea, where only the sound of the waves can be heard, a sense of peace and quiet. Such a place is magical!
