It's a beautiful restaurant in the center of Almiros. The furniture was chosen very well. But for us, it's not as good as it looks. The food is ok, but nothing special.
We were there with a group of friends, and everyone tried different things from the menu. You can get the typical food you get literally everywhere in Almiros (Souvlaki, Bifteki, salads, potatoes, etc..).
Maybe we just had another expectation because of their look or their Instagram. The meat, especially chicken, was too dry. Only the lamb was on point. Otherwise, the Bifteki was too soft, not in a positive way.
So it's a place you can go, especially for wine and drinks, enjoying the evenings in the middle of the city. Something for "see and to be seen". But not especially for food.
Thank God we all have different favors and tastes, so other ones may love it there.
Update August 2024: Today, we were at Elia again - just to give it another try. We had different starters, wine and meat for the main course. Unfortunately, it was worser than last time.
The restaurant wasn't full, just a few tables....so you couldn't say they were in a hurry.
The greeting was friendly and prompt. After placing the orders, the waiters were more and more within talking than checking on the tables.
Our starters were served within a few minutes and were tasty. But when the main course arrived, our excitement went just to zero. The first thing was that you could already see the oily and wobbly fries - and, for surprise, while eating them, some of them were also still raw inside.
The meat was dry. Dry as...... I returned my dish (pork fillet). The others were also unsatisfied with their dishes, but they ate some of it because they were hungry.
They waiter was polite, said an excuse, and asked if I wanted to get a new one. But regarding the fact that all our main courses were like that, I didn't want to go with another try.
I keep it as already said before. It is a place for a drink and some starters. For steaks and other meat, I prefer other restaurants.
The bill included my meal first, but after mentioning it again, they canceled my pork fillet....
