Traditional Tavern Milos — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

My partner and I stopped here by chance when I was feeling really quite unwell. Popi, Kostas and Teresa were absolutely fantastic in our aid, and with my condition deteriorating Teresa even drove us 15 minutes to the local hospital to receive medical attention. She stayed there with us until I was stable and then returned to collect our car from the restaurant and deliver it to us at the hospital. The love and care the entire family have shown my partner and I (two complete strangers) is a true testament to their grace, love and kindness.. In order to personally thank them we returned in the evening to sample the food, which didn't disappoint! It is all hand made and tastes absolutely delicious! Have I also mentioned the view?!! A wonderful greeting and lovely supper served up by super friendly staff, Poppy, Claire and Kostas. We couldn’t have had a better end to our holiday with the sun setting over the peninsula and Kostas bowing on his Lyre, (apparently a Pontic Lyre).The terrace behind is pretty and charming and a great place for sundowners. The food at Milos is lovely, especially the moussaka and garlicky dip. This family run taverna is very friendly and they are all helpful and kind. This is a little gem of a restaurant perched on the side of a mountain! Its on the main road from Argostolli and overlooks the sea of Argostolli all the way across to Lixouri, if your a lucky enough to call for an evening meal you will be treated to the most stunning sunset ever!!
