The beach bar has a great vibe and the beach itself is wonderful. You have several food options for lunch or a snack, lots of drinks available too. Card payment is even encouraged, not frowned upon, but it’s nice to have some change for tips as the sun beds are free of charge & the staff are working hard non-stop. The road down to the bar is a dirt road and a bit steep, but manageable. The only downside is that around 3 daily cruises have a stop there for lunch and 2-2,5 hours stay. It’s well organised that they are served at a different booth than the other customers, but still they make up serious lines for the bathrooms and extra drinks at the self service order booth. If you want to skip this busy period, come after 15:00 or before 12 and it will be very...

Banana beach is a very small beach of Ammouliani island, and it wasn't obvious to us why it is called banana beach (may be because of the palm trees at the lane behind the beach). Actually, it looked like occupied by gulls and glaucous (may be because of people and all the snacks around). Only part of the loungers where placed at the beach, and the most of them at the lane behind. It was strange to find black sand under the first layer. Near the rocks there were lots of underwater bushes, and small fishes, and sea urchins. We visited as a part of short cruise dedicated to the monasteries of Athos. Lately, we saw photos of a larger coast line of Ammouliani, and it seems to be...

It's a little more difficult to get down to the beach if you have a car that is low, but you can park somewhere up there and go down on foot, it's worth the effort, you'll see... the sand in the water is grayish, there are no waves, the water is crystal clear and warm, you have a bar, shower, toilet, restaurant, selling souvenirs... it's only crowded when the tourist boats come for two hours from 10.30-12.30, 12.30-14.30, 14.30-16.30... before and after those dates the atmosphere on the beach is perfect... greetings for Maria, the girl who works at the bar, cheerful, smiling... recommended...

Nice place to relax with your friends or family! Good vibe, good music (very important), friendly stuff, good prices for drinks, good and clean water (but inside the water are some rock, so be careful). The road is not the best for the cars, but is ok for walking from the village 25-30 minutes. Daily some big boats are stopping here for 3 houres with many customers between 12:00 and 15:00 (if you don't want to stay with all the crowd, you can't avoid this time).

Beautiful beach. Missing only the wi-fi... pity.for all the rest, the beach is TOP the food is wonderful. Is also free to take a sit under the umbrella. Drink or eat is not mandatory. The sea here is still clear, but with much stones in the water. It's very difficult to arrive there from the ferry boat port, not because it's faraway, but because at some time the main road finish and all is red ground and difficult.
