Ouzeri The Mills — Restaurant in Chios Municipality

We read a lot of positive comments about this place so we decided to go and have a romantic dinner there. At our arrival we noticed some free tables with a sign that says reserved.however we tried to enter in order to check with the owner or the waiter but at our surprise we were stopped by the later who made a very unpleasant face and didn’t event take the time to explain or apologize, having received such behaviour we decided not to bother and we went and had an amazing dinner elsewhere. To be clear at the internet it was well mentioned that no reservation needed… and we totally understand if a booking ahead was required but we don’t appreciate the nasty behaviour… and it s soo inappropriate to act so facing a customer, even if your food is amazing, bad behaviour from the personnel shouldn’t be acceptable… so i highly don’t recommend… there so many amazing friendly restaurants that you can...

1 Nov - Its our wedding anniversary. We just had our lunch here. We had the fish meze (suppose to be 8 dishes, but we probably got 7) with Ouzo. See photos. In today's menu, there was:

1. Salad
2. Fava
3. Anchiovies
4. Sardines
5. fried fish
6. Red Mullet
7. Fries
8. xxx (???) And bread + desert Not sure if bread+ desert was the 8th item? Dont think so. So, looks like they missed to serve the 8th item to us? Unfortunate really.

Service was good. People were friendly. Food was good. Probably worth 25 Euros, if you are served all 8...

With 2024 prices, you can have 8 mezes together with wine, beer or uzo and you pay EUR 25. It's a set menu with 2 options (fish or meat). They are delicious and not small portions. If you sit inside, you can observe the talkative middle-aged and old male clientele. Although you cannot understand Greek, it is still fun to watch them. There is positive energy which you may not seen somehere else (except Italy). It would be perfect if they would serve free mini desert when you...
