After reading food blogs and the reviews about this restaurant raving about the food, I was so excited to try it. The hotel owner where we stayed called for us to reserve and they told him on the phone that today a reservation was not necessary, so we went. When we arrive, it was empty. Only two tables were occupied. They told us that what the hotel owner says was not true, that they are full or we can stay but leave before a certain hour. They didn't seat us at a table with a view, because it was reserved but when we left. But we were okay with it cause we really wanted to try the food. For the entré, we had the artichoke, which was really delicious. As a main, we had the octopus which was good. Then the calamar and shrimps, which were disappointing. With the calamar they give us a warm mayonnaise, which was not good at all. We ask for maybe another sauce or something but the server just keep telling us this is the sauce we don't have anything. They were also not cook enough. They did gave us as a dessert a couple of sweet mastic tarts which were delicious for free. About the service, it was pretty bad... We had to get out of the restaurant before a certain hour but it looked them a lot of time to give us the menu, to take our order, we had to ask twice for certain things cause they keep forgetting. Also it was full of waps, like we had 5 of them at our table eating the food and just being an annoyance. I am really not someone who normally complains or give these kind of reviews but God it was that bad. If you still want to go RESERVE!! Not just the day off or a day in advance, but like several...
Read moreI had high hopes for my visit to To Apomero, as I had made a reservation three days in advance. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. When we arrived, the staff seemed completely unaware of our reservation and even doubted our claim. We were made to feel like liars and it was an embarrassing situation.
Moreover, the seating arrangement was appalling. We were placed next to the restroom, kitchen, and even a trash can. The constant traffic and unpleasant smells made by it impossible to enjoy our meal.
What was most distressing was the appalling treatment we received from the staff. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, they blamed us for the reservation mix-up. The lack of empathy and customer service was disheartening.
As a customer, I expected much better treatment and I professionalism from a restaurant. Sadly, our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
I cannot recommend To Apomero based on my experience, and I urge others to be cautious when considering this restaurant. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve their reservation system and...
Read moreWe chose this place for dinner on Friday. Except for 3-4 tables, everyone else was a local. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. We didn’t have a reservation, but luckily we got the last available table. That was only possible because we arrived early. If you communicate your requests to the young staff member who welcomes you at the door, he’ll definitely take care of everything. At one point, we asked another staff member for melon, and they said they couldn’t bring it—but when we asked him, he immediately sorted it out. If you get the chance to order through him, you’re guaranteed to have a wonderful evening. The music was also delightful; we sang and danced together...
