I often wonder if certain personality types just seem to find fault in anything and everything. Reading some of the comments posted on this page.would certainly validate this theory. I had the pleasure of stopping at this lovely restaurant possibly May 2nd or 3rd 2022. It was a scheduled stop being part of a Trafalgar Tour. Nico, being our tour director. I would say the capacity during our visit would have been approximately 40%. It's a warm family run business where the staff are warm, friendly and very service oriented, exceptional would be a good word to describe the service. The menu varied to suit all tastes. Food came well platted and with decent size servings, enough to fill me up. Everyone at our table, eleven travellers, all agreed the food tasted great. The desserts were out of this world. The environment is pleasing, clean well organized and relaxing. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. I had the opportunity to speak with the late owners daughter who I understand manages the restaurant now. The family has worked exceptionally hard to build this business into what it is today and it shows. From the moment you walk in until you leave, you will not be disappointed. The sort of place you would take your family, a friend, or as a group for lunch or dinner. No matter what you are doing, stop by and enjoy as my group and I did. Thank...

Worst food ever. We started out with the cheese appetizer. The fried cheese was tasty but the grilled cheese had absolutely no flavor. Two people in our party had rib eyes medium. One came out well done one came out medium well. Two people in our party had Chicken Souvlaki with fries. It was extremely salty and was not served with tzatziki or pita. Three people at our table had the lamb chops. They were all ordered medium but it was just a bunch of Grizzle and fat and Bone well done. One of them had hair in the plate. My son had the beef burger which was horrible. Even the dog outside would not eat it. My daughter had a beef steak. It was ordered medium rare and came out well done. We sent it back and it came back medium but it was really A horrible cut of steak. It was Grizzle and fat. We ask the waiter what kind of steak it was but he did not know. I had a glass of wine and it was the worst glass of wine I've ever had in my life. It was full of sediment. We ate here because we were brought by a tour group otherwise we would have left. I would say avoid at all costs! As you can see from the pictures we did not eat the food but tried to feed it to the...

Service was fast and friendly. The food was like grandma cooked it and left her heart in it. My husband and I traveled with my 2 sons and nephew and each of us had the best food since traveling through Rome and Greece here at Omfalos Taverna. The Lamb Chops and local pasta was amazing, the wild boar stew and casserole was enough to ask the chef to come out and thank her for it, my son got the beef in mushroom with apples with the local pasta and ate every bit of it, my nephew got the rib eye steak and potatoes and was thankful for the tasty morsel. If you visit the Acropolis, you have to stop at Omfalos Taverna to take care of your hunger which is sure to show itself after all that walking/hiking. (Unfortunately, I can't post pictures because they won't upload but if I could, your mouth would be salivating). I can't say enough about this place. Just go and check it out yourself. You...

We had the menu / set lunch at the tavern as we went as a tour group. It was very well worth the price of €15 per person! 2 dishes stand out: the starters were fantastic! The rolled eggplant and fried cheese were so tasty and delicious we really wanted more. Very crispy and the eggplant was so soft. A little on the saltier side, but definitely got us hungry. The dessert was so good as well - cake and the vanilla ice cream pairing ended the lunch well. The mains unfortunately wasn’t very stellar. The pasta felt a little overcooked, and the chicken breast were served in huge chunks, making it a little too unseasoned in the centre. Overall, a great place to have lunch if you are visiting the archeological site of Delphi. P.S. the souvenir shop is heavily overpriced. It is way cheaper if you buy them in Athens (for perspective, a shot glass costs €2 in Athens, but €7 in this shop!)

Y'all need to stop and eat HERE!! 10/10 would return. We came as a part of a large group, and descended upon this family owned and operated restaurant. They welcomed us with the utmost graciousness, hospitality, speed of service, and their food was on-point. I eat lactose/dairy free and the folks said, "no problem." Everything, I mean everything on the table tasted good. We tore up some olives. Had the most colorful salads. The grilled fish was definitely the right choice. Did I mention the elias? In my life, I never seen a desert cart tempt me to subject my co-workers to what happens if I ate Omfalos's hand made, original ice cream. They offered us a tester bowl since they recently changed their vanilla to a different flavor. I asked for a dollop of honey instead and got a small bowl. That was not the sound of me complaining.

Came with a large tour group. Food: I ordered a "Beef cooked with mushrooms and apples" with a side of pasta. Massive plate with plenty of food. The beef was very tender (even a little too much). Pasta was amazing, cooked quite well and came with some cheese. Some other people at my table ordered the Moussaka, which came in a much smaller serving compared to the price. Still felt quite filling despite the smaller portion size, tasted quite good. The chicken fillet that came to our table was quite dry. Service: Relatively quick and the waiters were upbeat and nice! Atmosphere: Quite packed, very open, some nice views but overall nothing special. Extra Note: We ordered a sprite and got some alternative drinks. They weren't that different from the original but they had interesting tastes.
