Mantouvala — Restaurant in Icaria Municipality

There is a minimum requirement that every restaurant should always meet: don't poison your customers. Unfortunately this is exactly what happened to my girlfriend and me. The octopus we ordered tasted a bit off but we didn't think much of it, so we ate it. 5 hours later we were vomiting (and also other stuff...). We lost 1,5 days of our vacation by staying in bed and drinking tea in order to get well again. I don't doubt any of the positive reviews written here. I'm sure, food poisoning isn't something that happens frequently in this establishment. But one time is just one too many. I also don't for a second believe that a cook who has fished and cooked thousands of fish in his lifetime, doesn't know what is safe to serve...

Absolutely fantastic! Fresh fish, every day! One of the best, if not the best fish we have had in our lives! A small family business, full of good energy and care.
