You will find Taverna Plaka (Ταβέρνα Πλάκα), past Arethusa village (Google's got it wrong). Bit of a journey, but oh, so worth it.

Service? It’s like home, if home came with fantastic food.

Prices? Wallet-friendly, and portions are no joke.
Bottom line? Taverna Plaka is the epitome of a classic taverna – food that blows you away, prices that don’t, service that feels like a warm hug, and views that seal the deal. Icaria's food scene at its finest. Highly...

We arrived when the tavern was clearly under renovation, but the host was so kind to let us in and feed us anyway.
The Greek salad was amazing, fried cheese rolls finger-licking good and the burgers juicy and fresh. The highlight for me was the bread, grilled with oil and some herbs - just amazing. Afterwards we were offered some homemade ice cream. Prices are standard, with Greek salad at 5.50, appetisers between 3-7 and drinks for 1.50
Overall the hospitality and taste of the food make this a 10/10 place! Totally worth...
