Very bad experience. When going to meteora we took a stop here. I got a chicken sandwich which basically had chicken, iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. The bread was really old, the chicken was dry and so unseasoned I'm sure even the chicken was offended, and the tomatoes tasted weird. after eating I was praying I wouldn't get sick after. Now, coming back we took another stop here. This time I got a turkey sandwich. Tasted better although the bread now tasted both old and a bit hard. This time the store was very busy and I decided to get a drink last minute. The cashier told me 3 EUROS!!! I demanded for a receipt but he said he "didn't scan the pepsi" and I didn't wanna cause a scene when the store was literally so full so I left. They also sold 500ML water for 1 EURO!! which is ILLEGAL under Greek law that states water bottles 500ml should be sold for no more than 50 cents. The store owner is very stupid and it's amazing how he hasn't gotten reported yet. I'm sure he does this because he thinks everyone who goes there is just a dumb tourist. Very shameful, also, the audacity to have your sandwiches priced at 4.50 actually gave me a heart attack. I literally think I could go on about how much this store...

We went there in a tour 2 times and they hide the prices when you arrive. Also they change the prices during the day and night for the food.
When you ask for the price they dont answer only serve you and pretend they dont understand and then they charge you 24 euros for fries and rice. When you say you dont want it they fight back. Some people from other countries used their card and they didnt even know how much did they charged.
We saw one of the cashiers giving big money (not change) to the tour bus driver. Is normal to get compensation (if that was the case ) if you recommend a place but they are imposing that because is the only place in the way back and that was crazy amounts of money.
Other person with us say she asked about ingredients of a dish and they answered in perfect english - she told them she was alergic to chicken and they answered it didnt have anything but at the end it was made of that.
We understand is low season but there is always a good and a bad way to do the things.
Be honest! Put the...
Read moreWe stopped here on our way to and from the Meteora Monasteries. The morning was fine. Then when we came back in the evening they had a cafeteria style dinner option, which they immediately tried to shuffle people into as they walked through the door.
Once in the line, they tried to hurry you through it as fast as possible. The staff were shouting at the customers to get their attention as well as hurrying them through the line, which made it hard to ask questions. The price of the dinner was not marked and I wasn’t able to ask how much it was (which is on me) as I was ushered through without even really knowing what happened. They pushed salads and drinks making it seem like they were included, but they weren’t. And the total price of the meal was €27!!!
For a small salad, 2 souvlaki, chips, and 4 pieces of watermelon it was highway robbery. As others have said, stick to the side with marked prices or eat when you get back to Athens. Or ask really loudly how much everything costs before they have the chance to usher you...
