The grilled lamb was to die for but we had expected that. What was really great about this traditional family run restaurant was the attention to detail in the rest of our dishes. It began with a beautifully seasoned Greek salad, then the cheese tart with amazing local honey and black sesame seeds was a delight. Taverna Barba-Giorgis is a true culinary gem! The food is absolutely delicious everything tastes fresh and homemade, and the quality is unquestionable. The meat, in particular, is exceptional: it melts in your mouth like honey. Their païdakia (grilled lamb chops) are hands down the best I've had juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The best place in town!! Breathtaking, absolutely amazing fresh food, such a warming inviting environment, great service, the food was exquisite!! We could have stayed there all night! We ended up leaving with 3 bottles of their semisweet wine. Unbelievable!! We will be going back tomorrow again! Their meat was cooked perfectly! And you must try their cheese pie... Wow!
