…. I do not recommend pizza. The children ordered Margheritta on the beach, which is also delivered from the restaurant. The menu stated that it was with homemade dough. Unfortunately, the pizza was mediocre and more like a semi-prepared product from the freezer - the cheese had an unpleasant smell, the dough was nothing special.
I wanted to give the restaurant another chance, but family and our friends objected because we really liked Giannikos, the pub in the neighboring village of Paliuri, and we preferred to have dinner there.
If you are staying somewhere at the end of Kassandra, in Halkidiki, and you are feeling like trying a different cuisine based on Greek traditional dishes, in a pleasant atmosphere and a wonderful view, try the Kappa restaurant, but make a reservation beforehand. ...

Read moreWhen entering the restaurant I was taken by the nice ambient. We were welcome by a waiter and taken care of straight away, so the first impression was good. We went here for dinner, because this restaurant got the best ratings anywhere near by and the photos looked promising. The prices to me suggested that fresh ingredients would be prepared on a skilled level of cooking. Unfortunately it did not keep the promise. The starters were lagging balance and fine tune between flavors. We had a tartar, which technically was a ceviche. You could barely taste the fish, because there was too much lemon in it. It was also left quite corse. The sea food croquettes were good, but could have been a bit more airy. The sauce that came with it was unnatural in color and did not match the croquettes. The barrel aged feta came in a sesame crust topped with honey. It was the best of the starters, but I would say it also needed the least skill. I didn't taste the difference between this one and a non barrel aged feta and I feel 10€ for a piece of feta compared to other places is too much. As main I had a grilled sea bass which was well prepared. It was left natural and came with different vegetables that were still crunchy. I asked upfront, if certain ingredients like seafood were fresh or frozen and learned that some are not fresh. So you better ask if you want something fresh. At this price range I don't want any frozen animal products and at least to be informed in the menu about it. I prefer good food over good service or a nice restaurant design. The interior of the restaurant was good. The service was excellent, the food we ordered came really fast, there were compliments before the meals.We ordered the calamari, the octopus, the zucchini, the Greek salad and the traditional spreads. Everything was presented very well. However the taste was not great. Everything was saltless and not a taste to remember.
