Ideal location: situated at a miniscule wonderful bay, where the sea is calm, even when sea is rough elsewhere. The tables are just next to the water and the fishing boats of the village. Food is simple and well cooked: exactly what one should expect from a good Greek seaside restaurant. We tried fried squid and grilled calamari, which had been caught by the owner, Nikos, who doubles as a fisherman at his free time. Some French fries and salad completed our lunch. The calamari was expertly grilled by the owner's wife, Stella; was tender and delicious. The French fries, hand-cut and fried in olive oil, are nothing as one may find in big cities; do try them! After the meal, we had a nice chat with the owner couple, as it was a spring week day, and everything was lax... We shall visit again Porto Buffalo, and, of course, dine at Acrogiali again!

Absolutely best food in the area, could not recommend the Shrimp Saganaki enough. Varied vegan options if you want to mix it up! Fresh food, excellent service (thank you Stella and Eleni) and the best feeling of being in a local, authentic Greek restaurant by the seaside.

Great little restaurant. The lady who runs it (Stella), made us lunch even though the restaurant wasn't open that lunchtime. We had the ceviche, shrimp saganaki, bream and salad. A very enjoyable long lunch with great views.

Only one man cooking and serving. My miserly 2 legs of grilled octopus were over cooked and thus tough and he would not serve me a 1/4 liter of the house white wine. He would only serve the 1/2 liter which is on the menu. A nice woman did show up and served others after 19:30. None of the quality pictures on this site represent what I was served. I can only surmise the cooking staff is different at other times of the year as most reviews here are good, I could not concur with those favorable reviews. The many local cats did appreciate the burnt octopus ends which soon abandoned me as other diners arrived and the food vanished. 17€ total, 14€ for the octopus and 3€ for the wine, way too much for deficient food, OK the wine was reasonably priced....

The lady who run this place is a gem herself, super glamorous and friendly, if I’m not mistaken, Elena is her name. Food was amazing, specially the shrimp Saganaki and the Sea Bream, a must try! Location and set up is also great, having your meal looking to the sea is a unique experience Please note that there is loads of stray cats that comes around the table, if you are afraid of them I would not recommend for you. They are cute and just looking for some leftover food.. No bother...
