Great experience !
You should absolutely disregard the comments from Mar Lw. I have been staying at the same time as him and his bikers friends. As myself a friend of the bikers community, I will say that these people are the ones bringing shame to the community. They have absolutely no respect for other guests... coughing everywhere without wearing a mask, shutting doors at 2.00 AM !!! Laughing and shouting also at 2.00 AM... I have rarely met so much disrespect for other people during my 30 years of travels.
The staff and especially Athena were just so nice and kind (and patient ! because you need a lot of patience with these kind of guests). The experience at the hotel and restaurant was really good. The prices are just on point for the service. Food is quite good (loved the fried pork and grilled feta!!!) and the view is perfect !
The room is really clean with all the necessary stuff. Bathroom also clean with necessary accessories. The view from the room's balcony is gorgeous !
Hotel is not perfect but definitely very good for the price ! The real bonus is the kindness of the staff. Especially Athena who made my stay so much better, always smiling and trying to help and answer all my questions. Thank you for everything, wish you...
Read moreNice spot, on the main road, so easy access and parking. The restaurant (food and decoration) is good for travelers that look for a short stop to eat. Also, from the exterior terrace you can have a coffee and see the lake, although the few cars and buses on the road may spoil the tranquility of the moment. The rooms are cutes, big, quite and comfortable, with lake view and fireplace (with woods ready to use!). Also the bathroom is warm and cofortable, maybe need for a shelve to keep some stuff on. The matresses are very soft, personally it didn't suit me, but depends your prefernces. The windows have blinds but there is still plenty of sunlight early in the morning. I din't mind because I'm used to that at home, but if you want to sleep untill late in the morning, better have a night mask. Some times (1-2 times in 3 days) you could smell the odours from the kitchen downstairs, not pleasant. One thing I did't like, is the access to the rooms. You have to enter from the entrance of the reastaurant, cross the main hall and go upstairs, you feel no privacy at all. For the overall experience, I think it's little more expensive than it should be, but affortable. Generally, it's a good place, I...
Read moreWe are so glad we stayed here. We had a room with twin beds upstairs at the end, above the clothes shop. It had a great balcony (well protected from any passing rain shower) with a good view of the lake. The room was very spacious as was the bathroom (and the shower cubicle didn't leak). The beds were comfortable so we got a great night's sleep. Towels very soft too! Easy parking outside. The breakfast was very good - done by the grandmother who ran the clothes shop. She was so friendly and enthusiastic (so much that it was difficult to keep up with her!) But her son and daughter who ran the hotel (and restaurant) were also very helpful and friendly too. As were the other staff we dealt with. Overall the staff couldn't have done more for us. Added to which Lake Plastiras was a revelation in early May - it reminded us so much of Scotland where we come from.||P.S. We also ate lunch here one day and it was...
