Tucked away in the cobbled lanes of a quiet old town, this little Greek taverna is the kind of place you stumble upon once and remember forever. From the moment you step inside, you’re wrapped in a gentle warmth — not just from the rustic stone walls and candlelit tables, but from the people who treat you like family from the first “Kalispera.”

The food? Simply soulful. Every dish feels like it was made by someone’s yiayia (grandmother) — slow-cooked lamb that falls off the bone, tomatoes that taste like sunshine, tzatziki with just the right garlic kick. The moussaka is creamy and comforting, and the grilled octopus is perfectly charred, kissed by the sea and the flame.

But what truly makes this place special is its heart. The owner still serves at the tables, pausing to share stories about the village or a favorite wine. Laughter mingles with the clinking of glasses. Time slows. You don’t just eat here —...

Spent a week on the island, we ended up eating there three nights. The atmosphere is very cozy and friendly, the food tastes delicious and it is provided according to the clients' size (not joking, we noticed that for big men portions were bigger or even double their size, cos they want you to have a proper meal and feel full notwithstanding the price). We tried almost everything on the menu, and all the dishes were perfectly executed with a traditional and mom-like style. We have been offered watermelon or even desserts for free every time. Watching the old owner grilling all night long is worth the price by itself. Definitely our best touch of authentic greek cuisine and hospitality. Cannot wait to...

We ate 2 times in a week here and love it!

It is a real authentic greek restaurant experience (: I loved the grilled steak the most. Also Stew was great 😍

It is no luxery service like many touristic places. They drop bottle water closed on the table and bottles with drinks unopend. They do not poor in your drinks for you. If it is busy they do there best to help you but sometimes they do not see you, so you have to stand up 🤗 Couple times the electric went off due to some issues. Hygene is not like our Dutch standards.

All these things I love and enjoy. As long as the food is great. I feel more home if it is less friendly to be friendly but are friendly if they...
