Outstanding! I actually found this place by googling meat on spits then i located where it was on google maps, and it was only 10 min drive from our accommodation. Got here about 8:15pm and it was about quarter full (mainly locals). As it located up in the hills in a small village you get the authentic family run local taverna feel and you just know the food is going to be amazing …. And it was!!
We ordered a greek salad which was really good and you get some crusty bread with oil that comes with it (even the oil was so different and tasty to back home!)
The meat of the spits where lamb, chicken and pork and we ordered a mixed platter of all 3 (all served with home made chips) 👌🏻
Pork was lovely, the outside bits was tad on the chewier side but still full of flavour but the inner parts where lovely and soft
Chicken was spot on and really tasty
The absolute standout winner was the lamb, absolutely sublime, melt in your mouth with some charred crispy outer bits , flavour was just… WOW!
Gutted i didn’t take a photo of the food when it arrived as just wanted to tuck In straight away.

Read moreWanted to go out for dinner here around 21:30 and its ok to park there, its a lot of space for cars. It looks lovely there sitting outside. The place was packed, every table was occupied. So we stood at the entry to get to know from the staff if it makes sense to wait. Unfortunately no one was asking or looking at us for 5 minutes, so we went inside. It was not clear who was waiter and who was guest so we asked. Once we got the answer "unfortunately yes" on thr question if she works here, we knew that this must be the waitress. She told us that food will take a while but she will ask for a table (ask whom?) After 15min more waiting in the taverna with no further instructions from the staff, seeing absolute organisatoric turmoil and shouting of the staff om each other, we decided to go somewhere else. Also outside guests were starting to yell on each other, who was first in line and should be served next. The staff on this night made no good job to fulfil the good recommendations we got from some locals in nidri and google for this place. They could not manage having so many guests or potential...
Read moreIf you visit Lefkada Island, you absolutely must stop by this restaurant and try, among other dishes, the local specialty Frigadeli. It's one of the best-prepared traditional meals I've had in Greece—and trust me, I've tried plenty! Every dish is crafted with great attention to detail, the portions are the right size, and the prices are fair. The only reason I considered giving fewer stars was the restaurant's management. I called to make a reservation and was told they don’t accept bookings during the busy August season. Yet, just two days later, I saw tables that had clearly been reserved. Additionally, due to the restaurant’s popularity, you’ll likely wait over half an hour for a table after giving your name to the lady inside. But believe me—it’s worth the wait. After tasting their food, all is forgiven. I couldn’t possibly give them anything less...
