Taverna Oasis — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

1 star is basically way too much for them. First of all, we saw the reviews and drove about 40 minutes to get there because the pictures /view was perfect to dine next to but that was not what we got . Once we arrived and sat on a table , waiters were simply passing by without saying hi or bringing us a menu.After couple of times that we asked for it, a very young guy a bit shy , brought the menu. We ordered a course each (2 people) and thought that it was all included as mentioned , instead , a piece of meat came with couple of fries and a very small portion of salad with no olive or salt. Long story short we asked for sauce and they said “they forgot “ to bring it on the first place, but they brought only for the one plate and when we asked for the other one as well we got charged for it . 1 course was served with half pita bread and they said all of them are served like this (huh).of course we asked for more (cuz the portions were so small)and got charged for it but whatsoever. In the end of this awful experience we had to deal with a guy pretending to be a waiter and the cashier which was shaking once we tried to express our complains. He told us to go and find a different place ,in a bad manner ,where they serve the whole pita and once we said that we will and will never come back , he told us that they don’t want us there anyway. In the meantime, a woman came (manager or owner I think cuz she came and asked him if everything is okay ) , and once we left she “kindly” told us to f off and that we should never come back . So sad for the people working there and having to deal with that kind of people and so sad for the customers that see these fake reviews which in no means represent what they really provide . Yikes do not recommend at all. Only the view is worth it which you can have it anyways by parking on a place that is designed to see and take pictures of the sunset next to...

We absolutely love this taverna! We found it by chance last year when visiting Lefkada as we were driving on the route and stopped to enjoy the beautiful view. We decided to try it out based on the recommendations and were not let down. This year we decided to definitely visit again as the first experience was so phenomenal. I am very pleased that we had another amazing experience - what is beautiful to see is the changing menu as they serve local seasonal options so we had completely different dishes than last time :) This time around we ordered the giant beans in tomato sauce as starter - fresh home made tomato sauce with beautiful soft beans, they were absolutely amazing. Especially with the fresh bread! We ordered the oasis salad I think - greek salad without feta :) it was very nice, fresh and all parts tasted equally delicious. As main course we chose the grilled octopus and rabbit in tomato sauce with rice. The octopus was truly phenomenal and I will compare any other octopus I will ever have to this one we had! So soft, lucious, we were eating so slow to enjoy the experience :) Equally amazing was the rabbit - so soft that it was falling off the bones in a earthy sauce. I might have sensed some cinnamon in it, it was absolutely amazing with small bits and pieces of vegetables. Very rich but delicious. I wish we could have eaten more as each visit is a great experience. It can get busy though as it's very popular, especially due to the breathtaking view. We came around sunset time and managed to get a seat with a great view. Service was very nice, polite and we were served very quickly and with a smile :) Cannot express it more how amazing this place is - worth any waiting...
