I found this place while looking for a beach to swim in after visiting the Isthmus or Corinth. The restaurant was empty. The view of the sea was beautiful, we could have stayed there all day looking at the shoreline. That is where the positive review ends. We ordered french fries, fried eggplant, fresh squid, a beer, an ouzo, and a salad. The lady kept asking us multiple times what we want to order, we had to repeat ourselves multiple times. We waited 15 minuted to get our drinks, because she was more involved with socializing with us than getting our order. I asked her a few more times, when are we getting our drinks, and she went back to get them, and returned asking what were the drinks we wanted?????? I repeated again what drinks we wanted and then she went back and brought them 10 minutes later. It's difficult to mess up a greek salad so I will say this was done well of the food was full of grease, it's as if they just turned on the deep fryer and didn't let the oil heat up before frying the food. Next was the "fresh" squid. They emphasized many times that the squid was fresh, I thought it was odd that they were putting such emphasis on saying "it's fresh". When we got the squid, it looked very strange, they also served the whole squid without slicing it up to eat; no problem. I cut a piece and took a bite, it tasted very bad. I smelled it and it smelled spoiled. It was very nasty. I told the squid to them and told them, it tasted bad and smelled very bad. The lady that took our order came to the table 10 minutes later to say, sometimes depending on what the squid eats, it has a certain taste, but the squid was not spoiled.....I told her I have been eating raw squid, and cooked squid all my live and that squid was rotten and should not have been served to people. You could have smelled it from the beginning before cooking it to know that it was rotten. We went to pay the bill what was expensive for a restaurant in greece and also noticed they were charging us 24% sales tax; which should have been 13% because the sales tax changed in Greece 3 days prior. I would NOT recommend this place unless you want to get some drinks and look at the view. They knew they were serving me bad food but thought that because I don't live in Greece I would be...
Read moreWe arrived at this restaurant by chance. We have sat outside on a porch with fantastic sea views. Service was beyond polite and professional. We had the snapper fish and red mullet platters (two separate platters), a Greek salad, traditional tzatziki dip, great Kalamata olives, local beers, French fries, and a complimentary fruit platters. Everything was fresh, tasty, and made on the spot. The waiter suggested we'll come see how fresh the fish are before we ordered... We've enjoyed the food throughly, and the atmosphere and the breeze from the sea completed the experience. Perfect. I give it 10 out of 10 for the food, even though it was a bit expensive at 140 euros before tip. I highly recommend this place if you're...
Read moreWonderful family run place, tucked away in an quiet residential neighborhood. Very friendly service. The food was as expected from a good Greek taverna. The grilled sea bream (tsipoura, τσιπούρα) was wonderful and fresh. the calamari was good, although it probably had been previously frozen. The eggplant salad (melanzanosalata, μελαζανόσαλατα) wad good. Avoid the rose. That said, the location cannot be beat, they have a wonderful big, open hall for inclement weather and outdoor and beach seating...
