So, our adventure with "il Paradiso" restaurant starts on the 4th of August where two families of 4 initially visited the restaurant. The owner informed us the they could not serve us and we should haved booked a table in advance. In our opinion he was inpolite, but we did empathize and didn't pay that much attention. Next day, we did made a booking in advance, for 8 people at 15:00. We arrived at the restaurant at 14:59, to find out that our table was given to another party of 8, that "impersonated" us "tricking the owners". When we initially called the restaurant to make the reservation they didn't ask us for a name, so we thought it was cool. Again, we did not pay that much attention, and waited pationatly for our table to be prepared, as ours had been "hijacked" . The table was ready at 15:15, so even if we had booked a table we still waited standing with 4 starving children for 15 minutes. Again, we didn't pay that much attention and made our order of 2 salads, 2 boloneze pasta, 1 pastitsio, 1 calamari, 1 briam, 1 beer, 1 pork dish of the day, and one pork stake. As the children were really hungry we paied attention on ordering dishes that wouldn't required too much time to be prepared, I guess this is a common practice for parents with young kids. We made the order and at the time our table had been served only water. The situation remained the same for 30 mins, where one of us kindly (really very kindly) asked to serve "what ever is ready" since we have 4 starving children and we had not even been served the typical bread. Nothing happened for another 30 minutes, while at the same time tables that arrived after us had been served. At that point another, regarding the circumstances, "very kind ask" to be served was made. 5 or 10 minutes after that "nudge" our order started being served, after a total of 1:30 hours 😢😢. With a cherry on top, after everything was served and we were nearly finished, the beer arrived 😂 I am not a local, nor I have anything "dark" or "mafia related" to gain out of this review. I am just a very disappointed customer that felt neglected and taken advantage on. It's like they had something personal with "us", the grown ups, or even worse with our children. It's the first time we visit a restaurant with our children starving after the beach and be left for 1:30 hour after our arrival without even a slice of bread served. I would suggest to avoid this restaurant, we had the worst experience ever in terms of service and attitude. I am sure in the reply (if they actually do reply), they will say that they did everything perfectly and for some reason it is our fault that we waited for 1:30 hour to be served... At least they did serve some water, I will given...
Read moreOn our vacation in Greece, we rented a boat from Nidri and stopped at Meganisi. The restaurant looked stunning from the water, and we really wanted to have lunch there, so we got off the boat specifically for that. Although only a few tables were occupied, we were denied access on the grounds that it was reservation-only. They probably saw our beachwear—though we were all dressed, one of our friends wasn’t wearing a shirt because he had left it on the boat.
We are 4 adults and 3 children aged between 4 and 9. No matter how good the food might be, the service leaves much to be desired. The kids are hungry, and the little one is crying because she’s so hungry. We now have to leave the island to find a place that offers respectful service.
From me, the mother of the hungry child, the mother of two children—you get a big minus. In Romania, where I come from, the customer feels welcomed and is treated with consideration and respect. I myself work in the healthcare industry, and that’s exactly why my clients recommend me—because I never turn...
Read moreLet’s just start by saying that we arrived a group of 6 (ages ranging from 20 to 31) by boat and nobody came out to help us park. 5 minutes later a group of people came that are closer to the staff’s age and they ran out to help them with the boat. Okay no problem, a nice lady (a customer) came out to help. As soon as we stepped into the garden (3 meters from the ocean) the long haired gentleman very rudely told the guys to put on a shirt (even though he saw very clearly that one of them just dropped their t-shirt in the ocean so it’s soaking wet. Let’s not even talk about the service, rude and with a bad attitude. The truth is that with such a service I do not even care about the food. The whole experience is bad. I suggest anyone who is in a good mood and wants to stop by for a bite with their boat to go a bit further and...
