Ταβέρνα Κουνάλι — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Nikolaos

Gorgeous place, everywhere you look something catches your eye, whether it's the grapes growing, the fresh mint growing in the pots around you etc etc The place is split into different areas on both sides of the road, with a bar area, a covered outside area and a open air area.

The food was amazing!

If you're feeling adventurous and don't want to just be in a resort, go to Milatos cave then definitely go here for lunch.

Lovely family Taverna, Dimitra is the most friendly and professional hostess hostess on Crete. The food is tastefully and pure. Dimitras father and brother are also so friendly.Price/quality 👍🏼 I recommend 100 % If your not satisfied in Kounali Taverna, you looking for a taverna and food that don’t excist olive oil, sea salt and oregano you can buy also here are amazing… you can bring a little bit Kounali home! The drive to this destination restaurant was beautiful. Lots of twisting turns with nary another car. It is located in a small town in the middle of nowhere but is worth the drive.
