We picked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews—#2 of 7 B&B’s in Olympia, 4.5 rating from previous guest. On the positive side—we had a very nice room with great views of the surrounding countryside. The hotel has an adjoining restaurant where we ate dinner, which was quite tasty and very affordable. It is also very close to the Olympia archaeological site. However, there are several negative elements: Rooms 107-109 are on the -1 level (we were in 107), which is just below the restaurant, and which is the same level as the tavern bathrooms (about 30 feet down the hall from those bathrooms). There was a large family party (maybe a birthday?) in the tavern the night we were there. The noise from the restaurant didn’t bother us, but the kids from the party seemed to spend an inordinate amount of time on our level, ostensibly using the bathroom, but yelling a lot back and forth to each other as it echoed throughout the hallway. We complained to the hotel staff, but they seemed put out that we would complain and basically said there was nothing they could do. Our ensuite bathroom also had a broken toilet seat—more than once, we thought we might fall in. When we mentioned it, they said that they knew about it (how long had it been this way???) and blamed the lack of repair on the weekend (we arrived on...
Read moreNice hotel rooms with stunning views and a relaxing pool area. However, the restaurant was very disappointing. We were visiting Greece with a party of 12 for 17 days and traveled to Athens, central Greece, peloponnese, and many islands. We all agreed this was our least favorite meal. Also, the pool was nice, but we had a difficult time getting drink orders, towels, and were even scolded that we were too loud (I didn’t think we were that loud. We just had 12 people and some of them were teens. They could have been nicer about it). So I would definitely recommend the hotel, but just don’t eat or drink there. There was another restaurant in...
Read moreThe stay was easy, we checked in quickly as we arrived late. Room was clean and has complementary bottled water. Breakfast has all the options, so it was great.
Came by the restaurant for lunch and I’m glad we did. Grilled food are all amazing. Turkey burger was exceptional, pork knuckle was tasty and souvlaki looked amazing. House wine went along with the food well.
Bonus was the view by...
